I lived in warren,mi back then.I was a huge JJ fan then and still am.I just can't remember him playing there.I do remember Madness playing there,possibly the Specials opened the show.

no, but close-- that'd be the Pen & Parchment club, which the band nicknamed the Piss & Punch-up Club due to the prior gig-ending audience fight. You're absolutely right, btw, that story is great! Best prologue ever. :)
