...the paint is dry to touch in about an hour. But I was hoping if I could pick your brain too. What did you use?

BADDASS VIDEO!!! What paints do you recommend to achieve that chromed effect? I bought some silver and gold paint pens from an arts and crafts store after doing a bit of research on what type of paint would work best on hard plastic and cover evenly. These are water resistant and only way to remove the paint is with rubbing alcohol. I tested the gold and silver on pieces of red and blue and gray plastic and they seem to have a nice shimmering reflective coat. And the best thing is the paint is

everyone tells me to use acryllic paint but enamel looks amazing! im not rly sure which to use. could somebody give me some tips? thanks.

if you want more vivid colors you want to use enamel. regardless of what you use, you need a base coat of plastic bonding primer or paint. the base cote is the most important. I use krylon fusion for plastic black.

you can use, the kind you use on model cars, you can pick it up at like hobby lobby. i repainted my optimus as well, and i painted my soundwave all the way, that figures, paint job is stupid. and then i touched up my sideswipe too.

so yeah, the paint is Testors. for plastics, and then use sealer to go over it. its also a paint... alright. peace. and let me know if that helps. and id you want i can post my figures to show you...
