Wow that's a sick Ford, I hate it when people say "its a jeep thing" Jeeps are good for nothing. They aren't even good at what they're made for.. Get a real 4X4, Get a ford.
i just like how everyone dogs on someone gettin stuck..... lets grow up a few years it frikkin happens to anyone thats what makes playin in the mud n dirt fun... ya go fuk off get stuck have a dude pull ya out try it again aint that the original plan....
hey man i gota ask with that stroker did you keep the fuel injection or swap over to carb and how hard was the carb swap with the trucks electronics and what not
The ford is on 38.5" with 9" of lift and a 393 stroker and the jeep is on 31s with 2" of lift and stock 4.0. And jeeps rarely get stuck...it just so happened the tracks were made by full size trucks with 38-40" tires...31s dont fair so well in those conditions
but you gotta consider that jeep looks stock, compared to that huge truck with 35" boggers and a V8, winch and the whole set up, that truck is a money pit, that jeep was probably 1/8 the price.
well those are huge tires. that jeep looks stock. that jeep is way cheaper, better gas mileage, and more manuverable, try climbing a 45 degree hill in that truck, its so long the bottom tailgate would hit the ground before its back tires got on that hill. put half the money that it took to rig up that truck and put it towards that jeep and see what happens.
does it look like that truck is built for climbing hills? plus go a little steeper...45 degrees is nothing. personally i don't like full size trucks, but my Ranger will eat a jeep any day. i should say a jeep within the same price range.
yeah exactly that truck just looks cool, not practical for real offroading. rangers are nice, my cousin has one, but my jeep cherokee still smokes him
i don't have to be god, i just have expierence and i know that huge lifted trucks aren't as effective as other cars in numerous offroading circumstances, rockcrwaling (to long), trail riding (to big/gas), racing (slow/big) the best thing huge trucks can do is drive through mud. Can you agree?
you got a solid axle for that bad boy? i hate my IFS, was it a tough swap? i just wonder if the coils and radius arms would work with it. im guessing you got it from an older ford or a jeep. let me know man it would definitely be awesome to swap mine.
If you want radius arms/coils get the Dana 44 from the front of a 70's Ford. For a leaf spring swap thats bolt on, get all the front suspension hardware from an 83-97 F350 with a dana 60.
fuck ford there made for pulling

its also a chevy motor, built from a 350, bored .60 over with 6 inch rods i believe is what makes them a 383.
