  • you mean holy? duh!

  • The Orthodox Church is the only Church that has remained true to the Canons, the Apostolic Tradition of the Church Fathers and the Seven Ecumenical Councils. This miracle further validates the fact that the Orthodox Church is the True Church.

  • If you want to see miracles you see whatever you want it to be.

  • I agree with you to an extend about

people's wishful thinking, regrdless whether the holly light story event is true oe not I have seen one paranormal event

in an orthodox church which explicitly defies the laws of physics, and cannot be fake, hence paranormal is there, period.

  • Fanatics have a very big problem. Their mind does not function properly. Religious fanatics transfer their human need for superiority to the arbitrary allegation that foolish dogmas they accept to be "the truth" are superior than other foolish dogmas.

  • Truth is that self-ignition "miracles" have been practiced long before the claims of the "orthodox" church about what is called "the holly light". There are such desriptions in the old testament, where it is obvious (after reading the whole section refering to the incident) that the whole trick was based on the use of naphtha.

  • cannons and ecumenical councils and whatnot sounds catholic, why would god give a miracle to a church that dosnt just use the bible, wich is the only 'evidence'(if you could call it that) that any of it actualy happend, man made things mean nothing to god, including man made laws and traditions. I think this holy fire thing is fake, just a trick to convert people and trick the simple minded, as is the way christianity and such religions work.

  • There is no "diode" here. This is a light which came from the ceiling each year only on the Ortodox Christian Easter. This happen each year since the church was build by the Emperor Constantin and this is record in many documents since the church was built.

  • You see what you want to see. In this video we see a flame that is held by someone who is going fast through the croud. Nothing is coming from the ceiling.

This fiesta (and the "holly light" phenomenon) started many ages after Constantin's death.

  • I think you should see a different video. The light cames from the ceiling and give light to the candles from the balcony, and to the candles put on the Holy Sepulcture. Than, the Patriarh takes the light from the Holly Sepulcture and gives light to the other people. This is why you see someone who is going fast to the crowd with the light. The light doesn't burn for minutes, and one can touch his/hers face with the light. In the same time, the bells start to ring by themselves.

  • where is this other video?

  • For example:

watch?v=XNjvfkAifZg ,Sfanta Lumina dela Ierusalim, put by the user: constantinalecse.

In this video, minute 5:55 you will see the light in the ceiling. You will also see people touching their face with the lighted candles withought being burned.

  • Another video is this: /watch?v=VTbaqtUifKo put by the same user. Minute 1:00 you will see blue flashes sent from the ceiling to the Holly Sepulcture. Than, you can see the Holly Sepulcture in fire. A fire wich doesn't burn.

  • My comment is already here. You can read it clicking "About this video" to the right of the video.

  • wow it that forreal?
