honestly what makes ken so good is that he learns AS the battle goes on he started to figure out some of BS techniques and he learns them so quickly its a skill that makes him truly one of if not the greatest smasher of all time. And yeah he is in the ssb hall of fame and i think he is ranked as the greatest melee player of all time with isai being the greatest at N64 and brawl being undecided because play is still fresh and ongoing, not that melee isn't as well.
@bobywade517 he played like a dozen matches against him already in which he used all of the same combo's. It's not like he had only 10 seconds to react to it...
Nintendo shouldve came out with a stick for this game, just imagine how much more faster players are going to be executing attacks on a less complex format as to stick. They should really do that!

Also, the way Bombsoldier took Ken's third stock was almost Ken Combo like... battered him to the side of the stage and then spiked him, but with Falco.
Can anyone tell me why 5 out of the 6 rounds were on Final Destination? After the third match, they both had a win on that stage, so wouldn't Dave's Stupid Rule strike that stage from being selected?

i'm almost disappointed by ken this round. I don't think i even saw a fthrow to fsmash or even the start of a ken combo. He basically got any hits he could get. Truth to be told, i mained marth, and i think i could probably do a little better than that if i were him. Bombsoldier's falco is still something to remember, I saw most of the movement and skill from him.
Lol at lame chain throw spamming. Comboing together a bunch of different attacks takes way more coordination than just exploiting how your character can grab him before the other guy can recover every time.
Chain throws take more skill than you think. It's all mental. I would rather root for bombsoldier than ken any day of the week, but he was way too predictable the second half of the match, which allowed ken to get some good chain grabs on him. The chain throws were barely even the reason why he lost.
@MastodonRockss Smartest comment I've read. That first half bombsoldier was completely flawless, unpredictable movements aligned with combos, you'd have to have luck to beat that, and that goes for anybody.

Falco's combos are just 3-5 hits while Marth's are 6-8. I think Falco may actually be at the advantage, since a shffled aerial -> shine (Falco's combo starter) is arguably safer than attempting a grab (Marth's combo starter). Overall, this matchup is pretty damn even, and Ken won because, as usual, he's better.

Lol these data are as important in Melee than in Brawl, top pro players know about everything about their character and the matchups they commonly have to face. Melee isn't all about mindless aggression and techskill, it's a lot about placement, mindgames and frame data too. Just look Ken's Marth above lol, he's not what I call a techskilled aggressive player (mostly because of his character).
@Toesrus Melee requires just as much knowledge on match ups as Brawl. The only difference is that Brawl has less tech skill involved but don't get me wrong, Brawl is still a very enjoyable game.

Ken can chain grab and invented a few of his own combos to win a tournament. But can you sobs who say chain grabbing is cheap win anything? If it's part of the game, it's pretty much 'LEGIT.'

no its not, infi cape lets all hitboxex pass through, chain grabs can be DIed away and cannot be done forever.

ssbb ally vs m2k is far more enjoyable, not sure why all these nerds say brawl sucks. mustve never tried it competitively. sure less combos and u cant wavedash (which i only saw once in this video and it led to soldier getting hit. which leaves me to believe its not as important as some of u think) but still a very fun game

i love how people complain about his chain grabs. i think its tough enough as it is having to deal with the lasers, and bombsoldier is a great sniper. simply put, ken won. deal with it, hes the better player. oh, and btw, BS is my hero. not ken.

Melee requires much more tech skill and aggression.
Brawl requires insane knowledge of every matchup. Every move's range, knockback, startup frames, ending frames. Everything.
Although I find brawl a good game, Melee will always be more entertaining to me.

@Toesrus I agree with the tech skill in Melee, like if you saw Bombsoldier doing that thing where he pops right back up after he is knocked down, I think that's a tech, but anyways that takes insane amount of skill to consistently pull that off.

Lol these data are as important in Melee than in Brawl, top pro players know about everything about their character and the matchups they commonly have to face. Melee isn't all about mindless aggression and techskill, it's a lot about placement, mindgames and frame data too. Just look Ken's Marth above lol, he's not what I call a techskilled aggressive player (mostly because of his character).

@Toesrus Actually, I have found that melee also relies heavily on these kinds of match ups. I am sure that Brawl is more intensive, though.

@Toesrus Melee requires just as much knowledge on match ups as Brawl. The only difference is that Brawl has less tech skill involved but don't get me wrong, Brawl is still a very enjoyable game.
