...top track...met these guys in Cardiff when they were at the height of their short lived fame...down to earth and very approachable..they sent me signed photos the next day...who would bother doing that in this day and age of Zero talent and SHITE music???
I have a CD version of the whole "Waterfront" album. 1. Tightrope 2. Cry 3. Platinum Halo 4. Nature of Love 5. Move On 6. Dancing with Strangers 7. Set You Free 8. Broken Arrow 9. Soul Survivor 10. Waterfront 11. Saved On Amazon, the "Waterfront by Waterfront" CD used starts at $1.46 !
The best Waterfront single by miles, severely under-achieving at a miserable peak of No 63 in the late, great summer of 1989. Their 3rd UK single release after 'Broken Arrow' and the successful 'Cry'. It is slighly reminiscent of 'Shattered Dreams' which pre-dates this by well over 2 years!
Such a Jam! I still to this day have the cassette single of this! The flip side of this song was their song, "Boy inside a Man". Another Jam! Trust me, Waterfront is not forgotten! 80's 4ever! Abel
please don't call me crazy, but doesn't this song sound very similar to Belinda Carlisle's ''Circle In the Sand''. i'm not saying that song was sampled, but this song has the same rhythm pattern as ''Circle In the Sand'' and this is coming from a 20 year old guy who loves 80s music lol
they sound like Johnny Hates Jazz but its all good...!!!

Too bad this band we're destroyed by drug abuse and gambling problems in the 90's. ;-)

Yeah, up till today, I've only heard of "Cry". This one's actually pretty good too. I agree with the resemblance to "Shattered Dreams". 80's rocked!

Reached #70 on the hot 100. It peaked on 7/29/89, and held onto that spot for 5 weeks, compared to Cry, which lasted for 17 weeks at #10.
