  • beautiful recipe auntiji.. i really liked u added proper ghee n deep fried it ,...as not many people know that u cant feed so much of dry fruits etc to a nursing mother ..as it may lead to bleeding.. ghee is important to balance it the right way/....thanx a lot

  • best recipe of panjiri ladoo by my sweet auntyi ji

  • Maahi, we can't make everything just perfectly sweet :)) - esp. something that is made particularly for lactation and health after delivery. Adding that 1 tsp ajwain has enormous health benefits and I personally think ajwain is not bitter at all. It has a sharp pungent likeable taste - this small quantity will actually balance the sweetness. We make a very popular sev (like ratlami sev) with lots of ajwain in the south. Hope you watched Manjula didi's video.

  • @villagebelle

Ya..i agree with you...The recipe by Manjula ji is a good one.

And you are right for the ajwain thing too....it has enormous health benefits...

  • Sushmaji, maahi, search on youtube 'Whole Wheat Gaund Panjiri Recipe by Manjula'. Different recipe, less ghee.******* Whole Wheat Gaund (Edible Gum) Panjiri Recipe by Manjula Ingredients: 1 cup whole-wheat flour 1/3 cup clarified butter (ghee) 1/2 cup Gaund (edible gum) 1/4 cup tablespoons melon seeds 3/4 cup tablespoons coarsely ground almonds 1/2 cup puffed lotus seed (makhana) 1 teaspoon powder ajwain (carom seed) 1 teaspoon dry ginger powder 1 cup plus 2 tablespoon sugar 1/2 cup water
  • @villagebelle

Looks almost the same recipe with some minor changes here and there.

Also, if you add ajwain, it will taste a bit bitter and it may not taste good to all. So i dont add it.

My mother-in-law added ajawain and made it for me when i delivered a baby as ajwain's basic nature is hot.

  • @villagebelle

adding ajwain n saunth pwdr make panjiri more tasty n beneficial for health but adding sugar syrup is worst part that manjula had done.actual panjabi panjiri contains bura khand which give panjari a very different taste also manjula is not panjabi n does not know panjabi recipes she just make some stupid variations here n there n make video n upload ...disgusting

  • @manju12123 please be respectful to elders and others contributors at the very least and be courteous - Manjula didi is a very respected lady on youtube - she has excellent recipes. No need to put down anybody esp when they are doing a great job helping others via videos on youtube. OK, if you object to sugar syrup you can gently say, use bura khand instead. Panjiri is made in UP too, just as Mahi is from Delhi showing this .

  • @villagebelle

dont give lectures on how to respect ...it was my GENTLE opinion abt her ..i very well know what i am writing so u better keep ur advice for someone else...one more blind follower of manjula DIDI...yahan par bhi log rishte banane se baj nahi ate...makhan baji karne me ustad hai hindustani

  • @villagebelle

are u the boss of you tube..taking so much of the pain of comments...side plz ....horn plz.... boss is commenting......purani kahavat hai "jisko ghar me koi nahi puchata vo bahar panchayati bana firta hai ...kisko kitne manners dhikhane hai mujhe maloom hai tumhe us par bhashan dene ki jaroorat nahi jyada hi khali ho to apna ghar sambhalo channel rehne do....chalo chalo kam karo...hahaha

  • @manju12123 You can address me as Aap - Not in your age OR league of immature comentors trying to run down people on youtube. Do practice what you preach first might help you. Yes, take a course on how to write comments without "STUPID" "DISGUSTING" etc...and then calling it "GENTLE" !

  • Sushma-ji isko panjiri bhi kahte hain kya? Thank you for this valuable recipe. Please share more traditional desi healthy recipes which have some healing value too. Manjula (manjula'skitchen) on you tube has shown a similar recipe calling it panjiri. She is from U.P.

  • @villagebelle

Yes..you are right..it is called panjiri also.

Thats great that Manjulaji has also shared it..i would love to see her version too..
