@VSDRUMS Ah, thanks. I'm playing with an ensemble (all drummers), I had my first concert ever 2 weeks ago in front of 150 people. It was great.. there'll be a dvd of it, too. I am currently planning a meeting with a band, I'll probably join them.. I'm so excited. Well, if you have any more tips than that, let me know. I already have private lessons (weekly) and I rehearse with my ensemble once a week as well. With 2 months+ of holidays coming up, I'll probably improve my drumming a lot. :)

@MikePostDrums hey Mike, thanks! I've been drumming about 11 years now. I'd recommend getting private lessons. It's pretty important to get a solid foundation on technique so that you don't develop bad habits. Plus, lessons force you to have homework and practice certain things so you can improve. Just my two cents!

hey, you play this awsome, and ur kit sounds well good..just wanted to ask, im considering covering this song for a college audition project, but i want to play it to a backing track, and the drums have to be cut out really, i couldnt really tell if u were playing to a backing track or the orignal, but if the track is without the drums, how did u get ur hands on it or cut the drums out? prob a long shot, because you may just be playing to the original...

@heyloo22 yeah I'm playing on top of the original track... original drums included. You can't really tell because of the mix. My drums are so loud in the end mix, that it completely covers up Abes drum track. There isn't any way to get the track without the drums in it without having access to the original master. It really helps if you get a focused drum sound with close-miking. If you just use one mic and don't isolate each drum, it will be much harder to mix with the original track.
