  • Out of all the awesome Australians in the world, the producers chose these three??

  • Top gear aus.... What were they thinking

  • As an Australian I hereby apologise for the rest of us.

  • Does he really know what he talking about freaking moron

  • this shit doent even compare 2 the cool wall

  • TOP GEAR AUSTRALIA IS RUBBISH

  • I think I know what they were thinkin! They created P1800 and that was a succes. The P1800 was maded by italians and they tryed to re-creat that in a new car!!!!

  • I think I remember seeing one of these on Craiglist for pretty cheap, it needed some work but in the US its parts that'll empty your wallet.

  • What most people fail to realise is that it's not just some blokes pretending to be Top gear, this IS the Top Gear franchise. They report to ( in the end) the same big boss that owns the name.

They even combine the show ( The Ashes series recently shown).

It might not be as good but dont bag the Aussies for making it , it was the franchises idea to branch out.

  • this show makes me embarrassed to be australian

  • clarkson should just go smack that moustache off his face

  • TGA yes what were the thiking. Its a useless ripp of.

If they do ther own thing it should be ok but not a ripp off

  • How original, this is rubbish

  • That's actually a really nice looking car. This is why TGA is shit, they don't know a damned thing!

  • Top Gear Australia? What the fuck were they thinking?

  • Is top gear aus still going?

  • @siraff2 It hasn't been going for more than a year. But it's set to make a return later this year, though.

  • italian made? i think it was made in sweden the volvo 240 where made there.

  • Top Gear Australia. What were they thinking indeed...

  • im an aussie, and i agree, we ruined top gear...im sorry brits. It's not the same without the British hosts, and english humour. Plus our hosts dont know shit about cars, this is the nicest car volvo made in the 80's, they still go for around $20,000

  • Hey, it could've been worse - America nearly had its own Top Gear.

  • noo way?

  • Yes - NBC solicited plans to produce an American-made Top Gear on January 2008. A pilot episode was taped on July, but it was never aired. NBC axed the project on December 2008 after having shot themselves on the foot with that crappy new Knight Rider series.

Even Jay Leno said an American Top Gear wouldn't work, mainly because UK Top Gear has the balls to insult their sponsors, which doesn't sit well with American media.

"They just don't get it really." - Jeremy Clarkson

  • @areasevenpro It's been confermed that now we do get our own TopGear, oh joy...

  • @AdrianC12345 Well, I'll be damned. Let's see how long that will last.

  • What were they thinking? This is the nicest car volvo ever made!

  • Fucking australian dipshit

  • best car volvo ever made !

  • This is an abomination once again the aussies cant do anything better than us British, except cricket but who gives a fuck about that? lol not anyone who matters, aussies are abunch of retards decended from bumbandit prisoner we sent you there to be rid of your shitty genes

  • settle the fuck down mate

what the hell is wrong with you....

And im glad you 'sent' our shitty genes to this country. Were the ones that have amazing beaches and sun all year round. So you can live nice and smug in you crowded little damp, cold, gloomy country, ask any aussie, were more than happy to be here...

  • O dear lol. There just not very likeable are they. Top Gear UK should just be shown to the Aussies. More or less same language and better concepts.

  • but we invented it. also its just not that good without clarkson

  • So, we're jealous because you had to steal one of our shows since you couldn't come up with your own concept, then instead of enhancng it, you try and copy and paste and it turns out shit.

Well done in the twenty twenty by the way...

  • Come on, fair dos mate. They didn't steal it. They bought it. A bloke has a right to buy something beautiful and tasteful and elegant and stick a pair of furry dice in it if he wants to. If he's a drongo. Just think, with what they paid for the format there's more money in the kitty now to make more and better original shows. No worries.

  • I'm Australian and I think our version of Top Gear is just plain horrid.

  • Top GEar MExico lol

    Sorry he looks mexican llmfao

  • WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??? when making ozzy top gear?

  • why do u have to be suck fucking idiots if you dont like the aussie version dont watch it

  • As said by Jeremy Clarkson, "Its funny even though we cant understand your silly accents"

  • how silly!!

very boring and no sense of humour!

no where near as good as UK Top gear!

  • yeah is this the aussie equivalent of the cool wall or something

  • hahahahaha

australian people laughing at european cars??

what are they thinking??? top gear in australia??? hilarious!!

  • You are a fucking moron.....Top Gear from Aus is like dogshit under my shoe...

Actually the 262 is a fine car and you cant buy it under 10 thousand euros...So what the hell were you thinking you stupid guy with stupid moustaches...

  • I own a '80 262c and I love it. It is my 9th Volvo and my 2nd favourite. No Volvo can beat my 164e. Volvo For Life !!!

  • what are u ausies in TGA thinkiiiiing insulting a car brand that has come further than ur countries whole car industry!!! i bet u still see more volvo 262s than what u see holdens or FPVs anywhere else than ausie land...ver low criticsm there!!!

  • HA! You're a dickhead. But seriously, for a country with such a small population, australia's car industry has done pretty darn well for itself. Also, i don't like volvos.

  • hahahaha maybe i am, but seriously, wuld u say australias population is smaller than swedens (i dont think so but neither am i sure)? hehe and, what industry? rnt holdens vauxhauls from base, fpvs too? Australias car industry is barely seen anywhere else...

  • I don't think they made a huge number of 262s,

I know they did sell them in Australia but they are a pretty rare car,I always thought they were a cool looking car.

Brings back memorys of my mates 244 with a Chev V6 with cam + head work and TH700 Auto,it did awsome burnouts plus it was a pretty quick old ovloV,it used to flog V6 Commodores easy as,it even beat a XY GT look alike with a 302 Cleveland and a few Holden V8speople hated being beaten by this Volvo.

  • i wasnt saying its not a rare car, i was saying that even though it is a rare car, ull probably see more 262s in the rest of world (as in not australia) that ull see of any ausie car brand

  • Fair enough,Ford Australia doesn't export a lot of cars except to New Zealand these days, but Holden exports cars to the USA like the last Pontiac GTO,that was really a Aussie Monaro, they are also sending there Commodore SS sedan to Pontiac as well,I don't what it's rebadged as over there+Holden export cars to the Middle East.We are a small market but both Ford and Holden make cars that continue to get better with each model.

They shouldn't have picked on the 262,I know I've always liked them.

  • How can someone with a 'tash like that have the cheek to criticise anything???

  • wth did i just see O_o

  • He's clearly an idiot.

The 262 is a good car, and they obviously didn't design it, let alone any other car for that matter, by saying "lets put some doors there and make the roof lower". How ludicrous...

  • That Volvo Bertone is awesome, I wish I had one... and by the way, this guy's face looks like that of a horse eating shards of glass from a bucket, lol.

  • screw you geek ... those 242's went like a rocket in their day

  • I reckon SBS should be on this wall for making TG Aus...

  • The thing is, they're looking at it from 2008 perspective. The Bertone 262C back in the 70s most of todays competition like BMW, VW, Audi back in those days were unrefined and lacked reliability. So it made sense to create a luxury sports coupe based(lightly) on their best selling model the 242, 244 and 245.

  • I do not agree with the qualification of late '70's BMW as being unrefined. When Volvo built the 262C ('78-'79) BMW was building the 635CSi (and the 733i). It didn't get more refined then that car, it was state of the art, one of the earliest cars to run Motronic engine management and optional ABS.

The Volvo 262C was never really al that good: the PRV V6 (or B27/28 in Volvo lingo) was a POS. The later B280 V6 were better.

  • Umm, The Volvo 262C Bertone was based on the Volvo 262, not the 264.

  • lol I think he meant 244.

  • It was based on the 264, has the same wheelbase as one. 262 was based on the 242 but had the 260 front end.

  • Infact aren't they all based off the 4 door model as it came first?

  • anyone know were to find this episode?

  • Thank you!!

  • No problem dude
