Good or bad, even though I'm an atheist, I rate you 1 (and would even go futher as to go so low as minus-one-million), because you're an arrogant twat.
"Content owners who file copyright infringement notifications under the DMCA do so under penalty of perjury. When we receive a DMCA notification, we remove the posted video, send email to your registered address, and provide notice in your account. Sometimes individuals abuse the process, or are simply mistaken, because determining copyright ownership can be tricky. If you believe your content was misidentified as infringing or is a fair use, you may file a DMCA counter-notification."
^ that was youtube's response to any and all DMCA related suggestions. Youtube totally wussed out, copy pasted the same message as a reply to all suggestions related to DMCA abuse. BRAAACK BRAAACK! Too chicken to do the right thing.
Now they can argue that the poll results are not representative because you encouraged people to vote up your ideas... so in the end they are ideas of AndromedasWake's subscribers rather than those of YouTube's user population at large... so ignore them, and work on the next few highest rated ones on which AW had no influence.
plus you'll get additional hits from non-subscribers voting
just because they're his subscribers doesn't mean they are his puppets, and i doubt anyone's going to create a google account if they don't feel strongly about the topic anyways
What I mean is that, paradoxically, having TOO many people vote up this issue may be self-defeating. Whether the voters in fact "puppets" or genuinely interested people is moot, so long as YouTube can reasonly claim that the former is true.
Getting a Google account seemed a little more involved than setting up a YT channel, so I suspect it will be harder to votebot the ideas about votebotting. In a way, it's a shame, as it would be amusingly ironic if thousands of votes were suddenly cast in a lump against the anti-votebotting ideas.
The truth is Haiti has been historically mired in the godless practices of Vodoo. The Lord rejects all nations that reject Him. Ultimtely we all will face a judgement sooner or later. After you vote for AWs ideas, click 'All Ideas' on the left. There are plenty of suggestions regarding DMCA and flagging, lets get them all to the top =)
There is apparently no way to reach youtube`s management or staff through the channels set up for the purpose. The only other way is to get a headline in one of the big news outlets.
The only way to get a headline in the news is to create a scandal like. Devoted Christian Youtuber driven off the site and silenced by an atheist mob in spite of filing hundreds of false DMCA´s and running a 7/11 votebot.
You know what, I am fucking calling CNN, FOX, NBC, HLN and CBS, and telling this about the situation on youtube. I don't know if it will work, but its work a shot. Maybe if enough of us do that, it might do something.
the most popular idea is "Tighten up control over the whole DMCA system. As it is now, numerous false DMCA claims are constantly being filed, and this needs to be stopped."
its not only these creationists but corporations taking down videos just b/c someone might put a clip of something or cover a song on a youtube video.
voted, but losing hope that Google care enough about any of this to actually do something, see: Nexus One 3G tech support, which should also be a high priority for them but isn't.
Hey I just want to say that don't just only vote for DMCA stuff. I know it is the most important issue, but you should vote for other things to, like giving non-partnered users the ability to upload a video longer than 10 minutes!
@edblaster2000 "Digital Milennium Copyright Act" It's a set of rules that shall protect the intellectual, work of others.
Videos, games, photos,music etc.
But it's legal to use clips from the works, if you want to make a revue, or a critique of it.
Some airheads thinks the DMCA applies to ANYthing in a video they have posted on u-tube.
It doesn't. U can use part of the video, to critisize it, and to show others what u are talking about. It's illegal however to use it to fabricate a lie.
Sigh. I'm sorry to say, I don't really feel that anything we say or do will affect the DMCA system of YouTube. If anything, it will get worse in several weeks. Google has been sued my huge companies because they believe Google's fair use policy is too lax, Google will settle the deal for several millions of dollars. On top of that... YouTube has produces absolutely no revenue for Google, in fact it consistently incurs losses. If push comes to shove, they may just close YouTube.
Even if your ideas don't make the top of the list Nathan (jimmyRRpage) and TheSilentNumber have already submitted this and have received 4557 and 2828 positive votes respectively (so far).
