The, MMA has become a sport people, it no longer demonstrates the practical teachings of martial arts only smiggins of it from here or their. The MMA doesn't allow eye gouges, groin strikes, or any vital strikes. It's nothing more than a glorified boxing match that has wrestling invloved alot of the times. A real fight would not last 3 rounds, it only takes a few seconds to end a fight, even against the MMA superstars if their groin is sattered. So, think closely about what you see in the MMA.

@Malkuthdum MMA fighters have a large amount of experience in self defense. I studied traditional arts and they are a good foundation. Now mix it with skilled MMA training and you are very dangerous. Why does everyone think that MMA fighters can't defend themselves in a street fight. Is it really hard to kick in the groin or go to the eyes or pull the hair.

@Malkuthdum true. but when did eye pokes and groin strikes require any serious training? they are what they are. whos to say a bjjer couldn't eye poke before going to an armbar? or just knee you in the head and slide it over your throat from a side mount, or a boxer couldn't punch you in the throat. the main diff is a MMA guy will generally square off, a TMA will usually be nonthreatening, then BAM. Surprise is a big factor in ending quickly.. i don't wanna slug away,i wanna go home! lol
