Bad luck on that one Roman. We had a few depressing years of this clown in Calgary. There is no sugar coating that he was an average to lousy NHL goalie over his career.

I don't care what goalies/players do in other leagues that aren't the NHL because those players are all inferior to NHL players, and if they were good enough, they would be there.

Looking at the replay, it looks like the shot would have gone over the net had the goalie not hit it. I suspect that the puck came at him a lot faster than he expected, and in his instinctive effort to grab it he just wasn't quite quick enough and it deflected off of him. Not a great goal to allow, but it definitely could have happened to any goaltender in the NHL.

oh my haha I had almost forgot about Turek...If anyone one recalls, it was Joe Sakic that took him out of the NHL...with that penalty shot in the playoffs...Turek had been amazing all year, they sweep Dallas and he was tearing up the Avalanche...until Sakic scored on a penalty shot...then poof confidence gone, never was the same again.

Roman Turek is now playing czech league in Ceske Budejovice and he is doing very well. I can't understand why the american and canadian fans think taht he's the worst goalie in nhl ever. For example Čechmánek haven't played even one minute during the play off yet, because he sucks.

I believe this was the 2000 series where the HEAVILY FAVORED Blues against the 8th seeded Sharks. Sharks win in game 7, and that goal signaled the end of the Turek era in St.Louis...OUCH!
