The instrument in this song is not only Turkish but also Kurdish. The Arabs use it as well but they use the drums more. So in essence it is a middle eastern instrument. Dont go thinking it is only Turkish because it isnt! I was born and raised in Australia with a Kurdish background and I cannot let the Turks think that this is their bloody instrument because it isnt.

This is such a great song.. the studio version still blows me away and I've heard it a million times already. I just finished working with the vfx crew on the music video for this song which I'm very proud of, check it out!! Great band, and absolutely ball-tearingly wicked Australian music.

(The song is about the relentless media frenzy that ensued upon Eskimo Joe after Heath Ledger died while they were touring in New York.. )
