Its interesting that its assumed that intermarriage will cause the kids to not be jewish. I know this is often the cause but not always. Out of the mixed people i know, myself included, most are jewish. Not necessarily when they are younger but around college age or so begin to move towards the jewish side of their ancestry. In fact two friends of mine whose fathers are jewish have gone through conversions.

It's understandable that if a Jew grows up not knowing much about their heritage, than the person probrably doesn't understand the importance of marrying Jewish. That's why it's important for Jews to learn about their heritage and about the purpose of marriage. It is terrible that some Orthodox Rabbi's promote hatred to children of a Jewish Father and Nonjewish mother even though they really are half Jewish and that part of themselves is important to them. It isn't ideal but neither is just a Jewish mother and a nonjewish father ideal either and in both cases the children can become a fifth column or relate more with the nonjewish parent who may not care about the Jewish people. First of all Rabbi's do make special leniancies that go against the talmud as some parts of the Talmud have no biblical basis and Rabbi's are not G-d and can be wrong sometimes. The first part of stopping intermarriage is to be honest about it that first of all in Israel you only have to be 1/4 Jewish (don't follow Orthodoxy and in this case I agree) and that it effects both genders. It's understandable that if a Jew grows up not knowing much about their heritage, than the person probrably doesn't understand the importance of marrying Jewish. That's why it's important for Jews to learn about their heritage and about the purpose of marriage. Marriage is not just about love. while it has that, it is also about the couple fulfilling the mitzvos together. They both need to be Jewish for their purpose to be complete.

I'd love to marry a Jew, because Jews are clever, hard-working, they behave nice and a majority of them is really handsome. But I know for sure that both of us would be shunned by the guy's family - because he married a "schmuck". And being hated by the whole Jewish community would be something that I could not bare. It only became genetic thereafter due to the religion stipulating that no one should intermarry. he says kiddish(a certain blessing) on Fri night and Sat b4 lunch. Your spouse might be supportive, but a Non Jew is not allowed to keep shabbos. They can keep kosher, but shabbos is for us.
Other mitzvos are, she goes to the mikva every month, he spends some time learning and they Both recieve reward for the learning. If he's not Jewish, she's missing out on that reward.

It is terrible that some Orthodox Rabbi's promote hatred to children of a Jewish Father and Nonjewish mother even though they really are half Jewish and that part of themselves is important to them. It isn't ideal but neither is just a Jewish mother and a nonjewish father ideal either and in both cases the children can become a fifth column or relate more with the nonjewish parent who may not care about the Jewish people. Sadly though Orthodoxy uses conversion in a corrupt manner.

Another serious example is the girl scouts which christians have pulled their girls out because they no longer are a good group although they once were and formed American Heritage Girls. But Orthodox women don't care if the girl scouts now support lesbianism, feminism, atheism, hating men because they are better at science and math, hating fathers, seeing this as victims. On Frumster I had a women who when she became more religious divorced her Jewish husbands and claims the father is bi polar and denies the children contact to the Jewish father and thinks she is elevated. She also doesn't want other Jewish women to be married to good men because she is not married. Most Jewish women are taught to hate Jewish men and I don't know what to do anymore. The ORthodox Rabbi's are the biggest to blame.

Again I have been on site after site that Rabbi's tell women that it is optional for them to get married which of course it isn't and they blame men for things that are beyond thier control like having children. The only men that are good men are doormat types that don't work or/and have no opinions about anything and will attack other men that have less connection. Only 20% of men fit this crazy definition that some women want.

You convert reform.
Only reform jews recognize you.
You convert conservative.
Only reform and conservatives recognize you.
You convert orthodox.
If you convert through the wrong rabbi the Israeli rabbinate won't recognize you.
They also think they can invalidate your conversion at any time.

Well that is true although to be fair to them Orthodoxy is not really much better then coservative and reform in many area's including conversion. I am on Frumster and there are a number of women that were converted and the Rabbi's taught them to hate men which they likely hated men to begin with and wanted to convert because Judaism to them supports hating men and hating fathers and they couldn't care less about the Jewish people and have radical agenda's.

The definition of "jew" does not always mean the orthodox definition. How do you know children of intermarriage weren't counted in this number? Surely when they say "6 million jews died during the holocaust" people who were not jewish by jewish law were counted in that number. Many Germans were products of intermarriage. Intermarriage is what has spawned ethnicities such as the Ashkenazi and Sephardic jews.

Part 2: Rabbi Ginsberg like many Orthodox Rabbi's doesn't even allow comments on his intermarrige and isn't even honest about it. He claims it is BIBLICAL from Deutoronomy 9 Verses 1-3. It says here 7 specific nations we are not allowed to intermarry because they were immoral. It doesn't specifically prohobit intermarriage and of course people like David did it in a way that would not be allowed today. Rabbi's prohibited at a later time and only prohibited MEN from intermarrying.

First of all Rabbi's do make special leniancies that go against the talmud as some parts of the Talmud have no biblical basis and Rabbi's are not G-d and can be wrong sometimes. The problem is many Orthodx Rabbi's are cowards and will only make a leniancy for individuals usually who are connected and have money and don't want at laws effect on the WHOLE OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE and make it easier for the rank and file Jew.

it's our job and has always been our job to provide the light to the world. (whether we've been doing that or not lately is another question)

Dude, we are all the same... the reason we look different is because of religion.. we marry and reproduce with our own... hence... we have identifable physical/ disease character traits... maybe the irish with the jews would be good... irish would stop drinking and start studying lol.. and the jews would have a beautiful plot of land.. that the irish would defend and not let anyone take.... nobody f***'s with an Irish person face to face and wins.. lol ... the strength and wisdom! woa

Doesn't matter. Not only the orthodox opinion counts. A jew is someone born from a jewish mom, or a convert, and as the 14th commendment says
"To love converts Deut. 10:19"
No matter if reform, orthodox, humanistic, ect, a jew is a jew. That's it.

He is a reform rabbi I think. From Ashkenazi origin. But I think if only what's approved for orthodox is seen as valid, no wonder that on 100 jews today, less than 50 will be in 2 years.

The first part of stopping intermarriage is to be honest about it that first of all in Israel you only have to be 1/4 Jewish (don't follow Orthodoxy and in this case I agree) and that it effects both genders. Most Orthodox blame men for it(because they want to ignore the fact that the Rabbi's only disallowed men to marry nonjews as if a women marries a nonjew the kid is still Jewish) and by doing that already they make Judaism dogmatic and this turn people away from Judaism.

There is only one way to stop intermarriage. By loving all Jews with unconditional love and educate each and every child in the ways of Torah and Chassidut. Simple, yet difficult. Now get to work!

One thing the Rabbis can do is to stop working to prevent conversion to orthodox Judaism. Judaism is bleeding to death and the Rabbis are refusing the blood transfusion.

Yes, and intermarrying and having children that will possibly already be jewish (jewish mother) or convert officially (from jewish father) is better than stayed bucked up and never marry and never have kids!
