wow, thats a damn good lobster to be a first catch, no wonder u say your son is hooked. my first like 20 lobsters were spotted spiny lobsters which when full grown are like 3/4 the size of that 1 he caught.
Was wondering how far out you have to go, I can snorkel fairly well, do you need a boat? Also I live in Coral Springs, is there somewhere nearby I can access?
Looks like you're raising a man instead of a whining bitch like my nephew. Good goin. I just ate two spinys outta Malibu. Butter and lemon and butter.
That's awesome! We went to Islamorada, and we had a great mini season! This was our son's first lobster catch. He's hooked! Thank you for your nice comment!
Yes, he is hooked. It's very addicting. I went for the first time 4 years ago and I'll never miss it until I'm too old to go! :) We're going back in a few weeks to stay for an entire week. Hopefully our favorite spots will be re-stocked by then!
VERY NICE... NEXT TIME GET HIM AN EZ-SNARE... THE SAFEST AND EASIEST WAY TO CATCH BUGS

Must be pretty dangerous to be a lobster in these parts.
