  • Rick Nelson also had a hit with FOOLS RUSH IN. Lesley Gore recorded a version of this song for her 2nd album, LESLEY GORE SINGS OF MIXED-UP HEARTS (1963).

  • te adoro...brenda hasta que me muera.......te adoro brook benton...hasta que me muera......que gusto de melodias en sus voces...........imcomparables..............ole.ole.....y.oleeeeeeeeeee

  • Absolutely great!

  • I cant believe I havent heard Brenda since the late 60s what a fantastic singing voice, I will now be doing a medley of her hits, fabulous.

  • your right about the talent now days. they couldn't walk in the same shoes of the past talent.better singers and better harmony.straight off the street ,not out machines.

  • BARBARA.....EVIDENTEMENTE......PERO LA VERSION DE BROOK...SIGUE SUPERANDO A ESTA MUJER TREMENDA ....LA ADORO..........PERO BROOK ES ......DE OROOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • One thing about today's artist and past artists.. Past artists could ACTUALLY sing. Today's singers they have technology to fix their mistakes to MAKE them sound good. Past singers like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Conway Twitty, they gave entertainment and had GREAT voices. Today's artists just have entertainment, and that's what makes them good not their voices.

  • @guitarbrittany31 Exactly right. That's why there are light shows and a million special effects in the presentation of singers today. It's not about singing anymore. It's about image. Singers can't simply stand on a stage and sing beautifully, the way the singers of the past did. The top pop singers today have no more singing talent than the general public, they just get the promotion if they have the look and dance moves to make a manufactured package, and machines alter their voices.

  • @guitarbrittany31 - I guess it depends where you are looking. Some of the 'Indies' have really got a lot going for them.

Look on 'Youtube' for Lindi Ortega. She is half Hispanic/half Irish and hails from Toronto (Originally). Her CD released in July 11 (Little Red Boots) is really solid (other than tracks 1 & 5), and she wrote all of the songs as well. You will get a HUGE kick out of 'Jimmy Dean' (the actor, not the sausage king) Keep on Rockin everybody!!!

  • @jmarkz53 Alright I'll have to check them out. I'm always lookin for new songs or I guess new old songs either way.. I always love looking up old songs on youtubes by old artists cause sometimes I come by a song I ain't heard in a long time and rememer it as one being I love...

  • @jmarkz53 I'm a younger person but I love the older music....

  • I will never know why modern artists don't still perform this style of music (and perform it well, of course). I mean, it's just so damn good.

  • A little girl with a massive clear voice!!!!!!!!!

  • @olesarge72 The melody was by Rube Bloom. Mercer was the lyricist on this song.

  • One of the great songs by Johnny Mercer. Sinatra, Elvis, Nelson....I love the interpretation by all. A wonderful song!

  • Ricky Nelson Had a big hit with this and I believe he did it better than anyone to date

  • Great job Brenda! Of course everything you sing is excellent!!!

    Thanks for posting.

  • You're welcome!

  • I like her version of this old songs, -one of my favorites -thanks for sharing
