it's when parts move through other parts, such as arms moving through legs or parts of the body or, more commonly, arms moving through bits of armour or bits of armour moving through each other.

Clipping, is ther term, major is adverb, meaning a lot of. Yes clipping is bad and a lot of it is very bad. Try to avoid it to make your creations look more professional and neat. (Although I realise it's quite difficult to do that).
