what did you expect? you can just take the screen off from the front ( it has clips) remove the screen and then take your new screen and make sure the didgitizer gets in its spot then snap the new screen on.

im just letting you know because i specialize in ipod hard drives at an apple store

i bet you do. the harddrive is only in the ipod classic. thats why it runs slightly slower, and why it seems to vibrate on ocasion. you can also hear the needle clicking. the ipod touch and ipod nano are virtually scilent, also, the harddrive adds a significant ammount of bulk which is why the clasic cant get any thinner. trust me, i opened my classic after it crashed. if you look at the mother board, you can seel three black squares. that is the FLASH memory.
