  • Better than studio version.

  • Simon, honestly, why do you sing that badly live? :D Don't get me wrong, I love Biffy Clyro, but this question bothers me for long time...

  • go on Simon! Belt it out!

  • Right, I tink that this band are awesome. But if he wants to sound like Lemmy why dose he not do that in his radio versions ? I hate a band that doesn't sound like they do. Cause if you hear Motorhaed, Rolling Stones, ACDC or The Who the sound just like they do live as well as on CD,

  • @craighannah1 I think they sound better live to be honest. He isn't trying to sound like Lemmy, Simon is trying to get his scottish accent through

  • That has to be the most boring crowd biffy have ever played infront of. What the fuck?

  • Wow, the crowd looks bored shitless, what the fuck!? 2:48

  • I saw them on this tour supporting Linkin Park! They were brilliant but deserved a lot more response at the gig I saw them at (Sheffield Arena). Saw them on the Only Revolutions at the GMEX in Manchester and it was so much better as they were the headlining band!

  • there is only 1 thing i know who didn't like this performence

    that is my subwoofer

    5/5

  • simon is so not sober

  • I have a feeling that if this, and the rest of Puzzle's songs sounded more like this (grunge-y, and very raw) on the album, compared to the neat, fine-tuned recording that they actually are, then people wouldn't accuse them of selling out as much.

  • @TEKwing3 Fair enough, although Screaming has to be very fine-tuned to sound good on a studio LP. In my opinion, Puzzle was brilliantly produced, although Only Revolutions as guilty of over-filtering (partiularly with Many of Horror).

  • its not a poor performance... i was there! basically they would have been miked up through two input. one for tv and one for the speakers at gig. Biffy played for the live performance not for the TV... the way it should be

  • I think the crowd has come to see classical music :O

  • People say, aww the crowed is utter pish and blah blah blahh, i bet ye if All of us people who agree that the crowd is pish, went to a biffy concert, Simon neil would say it was the best concert ever ;D

  • Raw power. Biffy Clyro rocks.

  • Amazing Raw performance great sound shame about the shit crowd i saw them at the itunes fest in camden the other week AWESOME GIG and sick crowd! MON THE BIFF!

  • If I was there I would have been busting a gut to this song

  • One of the most mental performances I've heard of this song - shame it's being performed to one of the shittiest crowds of all time.

  • It's great how a wee band from my hometown of Kilmarnock made it this big ;)

  • Crowd is dead.

  • how shit is tht crowd. awesome band

  • Simon's voice really grates on me live. Still love em though.

  • this song sounds a million times better live. Love the energy and aggression

  • Mon the BIFF at its best props!!!!!!!!!!!

  • bonfirejovi shut the fuck up man, if you dont like them then fuckoff?

    MON THE BIFFY!

  • that guitars amazing haha

  • realtively live hes a great singer. listen to some mainstream bands live

  • naww but itll show how much better he is then famous "musicians" if thats what youd call them. he can play and sing pretty decent. especially when compared to what youll hear on the radio.

  • @bonfirejovi ure a bon jovi fan so dont talk

  • have i missed them but fukin come to australia u bastards :) get a tan here! if they do i doubt the will come to adelaide, no one ever does..... sometimes maybe, i found em when i was over in the uk in 2006, cool as!

  • I saw them in Sydney in March 2009. They also did Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth

  • @bowes78 dude they are in australia this month. Seeing em in sydney on the 20th ;D

  • @cescoissocoollike wicked thanks for letting me know mate!! :)

  • @bowes78 They're scottish, coming to australia would probably kill them

  • @veryverybigpotato It's too hot, lol.

  • @bowes78 I saw them in syndey factory theatre. dynamite.

  • When I first saw The Biffy at Reading 3 years ago Simon was singing with this incredibly loud, strained voice; which blew me away. This is the only video I've seen that reproduces that 'shouty' voice. How the hell does he do that without blowing his voice box? He's amazing.

  • reminds me of a certain KURT COBAIN... anyway biffy's a great band

  • Yeah Biffy is a great band gezzai; I saw them in Manchester recently. Did anyone else notice that Simon's Strat changed colour to blue at about 2.00 mins WOW! How did he do that that?

  • that would be called the bass haha, which ironically enough stays blue through the entire video.

  • me too xD

  • simon gives it 110%

  • pause at 0:29

    ima firing ma lazorz :P

  • they've goten so much better thier new albums amazing

  • voice in the chorus is pretty bad. shame cause their a good band

  • MON THE BIFFY

saw them on sunday and seeing them again in november :D

  • Hey I'm Saint Jimmy your Stach Jimmy.

    Us jimmys gotta stick together.

  • 2:05- 2:17 <3333

  • mon the bifffyy

  • Love the band and they kick ass live, but they tend to play too fast. Some of the songs, like this one, lose most of their feel.

  • best band in the world by a country mile!

  • Errrrkkk!

  • this is what i love about Biffy, they sound completly different live but still awesome.

  • i like the live version soooooo much better, faster louder better!!!

  • mon the crazy ass screaming...

love the way he sings this XD

    x

  • love the grunge sound on this performance! Very Nirvana-ish :D

  • Don't agree about it being a poor performance. The only poor thing is the crowd. I like how raw they sound live. Lots of energy.

  • @mgill87 I totally agree with you ! even if it does not sounds like in the records, Biffy Clyro life is just awesome ! they've got so much energy, I've been amazed when i saw them :O

(Sorry for my English, I'm french :$)

  • Comment removed

  • @FallF0rMCR Hey! Don't worry, your English seems excellent! (And my French is far worse!) I saw Biffy a couple of days ago at the Isle of Wight Festival and once again they were fantastic - they definitely got the crowd jumping about! :)

  • @mgill87 haha, thank you :) ! I saw them in December, they openned Muse's show :D ! On of the best nights of my life I think xD !

  • @FallF0rMCR Awesome! What's your favourite song? Mine's Justboy. I've been lucky as both times I have seen Biffy live they have played that song :)

  • @mgill87 my favourits Biffy songs are Mountains & Saturday Superhouse :P !

& I've been lucky too because when I saw them live they played Moutains :D ! the crowd singing the chorus made the song even more beautiful xD ! ♥

  • This is far from their best performance, but they're still one of the most exciting live bands around.

  • saw them about 3 weeks ago in brum fukin amazing

  • not sure wether they were going for the grunge style live performance where it doesnt matter if your crap or not but that was a pretty poor performance.

  • fuck you!!

My sister is a fucking chav and she likes biffy

  • What a shit crowd. If I was there i'd be going fucking nuts. Mind you, they were probably all there to see Madonna or something.

    MON THE BIFFY!

  • shit crowd

  • benjomatic im one of the biggest nirvana fans you'll ever meet, you don't have to tell me he was the drummer

  • look at that crazy bastad gom MON THE BIFFY

  • The fact that Simon frequently loses control of his voice during this song is what makes it so goddamned good.

  • i'm feeling naughty at the moment

    i luf this vid dI

  • Mon the Biffy!

  • dave grohl isnt in the same league as simon...hes a good drummer. he was at his best with nirvana and the genius of kurt cobain

  • Dave Grohl isn't in the same league as Simon Neil? Catch a grip. He's written far more, better songs. He can control his voice. He was drummer in one of the most important bands of a generation. Explain yourself!

  • ok, so what world famous band are you in again? what fukin difference does it make how high up his guitar is? get a grip

  • suk my dik-a

  • good reply.

  • A well-made point. The "guitar is up" and that's "so gay", and the music is "too gay". Very good reasons! Good job!

  • what a prick

  • (kitarrrrr)

  • the guitar is to up hahahaa tht made me laugh soo hard :) i love this song and biffy :)

  • what? lol

  • someone said on a comment below its gay when the guitar is up so yeh :)

  • Look i know its not all just screamin, there was one part of it.

I was just sayin 'Generally' meanin not jus this song. Others where there is a lot of screamin, i dnt really like those ones.

    Jeez

  • you got to admit they got a great sound for a three peice band.mon the biffy

  • epic. mon the biffy!

  • Holy shit, this is fuckin hard core.

Generally I hate songs where its all this screamin, but I love Biffy Clyro and this song!

  • its not all screamin?

  • its not all scraming at all just a bit mroe passion then on the record!

  • Lost my wallet in that mosh pit. Including £50.

    Fucking awesome live!

  • you know it's a great gig when you lose your wallet :D

  • also, is it me or does he look a bit like Dave Grohl with his hair over his face? haha

  • simon neil is a god compared to dave grohl, i love dave grohl so much, i have him tattoed on my leg, but he really is nothing compared to this man.

  • hahah well in!

I've been lucky enough to meet him in my local HMV!:D haha

but I do love Dave though:D

Gustaf Noren is my idol, or Paul Weller!:)

  • Grohl is amazing but biffy.... when I watch them (an ive seen them a fair few times) make me feel like I have no worries in the world. They are the beast musical talent of our age

  • yes i know what you mean, i felt that when i saw the foos, i am going to see biffy in december at brixton, should be amazing.

  • met these

    propper nice blokes!!

full on mint live band:) not normally my kind of music either!:)

  • i love this fiesta red of his strat...mon the biffy!!!!

  • love the screaming

  • this is there best song live. The play it the best by far. Leeds is gunna be fuckin' class.

  • these guys rule live!

  • the energy from this song is amazing. at T, I was just going to stand back, but I heard the opening chords and just ran forward!

    Mon the Biffy!

  • haha! i done the exact same.

  • why does he scream :P and did he mess the solo up at the beginning?

  • "why does he scream :P and did he mess the solo up at the beginning?"

They wanted Saturday Superhouse to be different from the version on Puzzle when they're playing it live, I guess. And I think screaming in the chorus gives this song more energy, and makes it better. Though, the screaming wouldn't work for the album version. And Simon doesn't mess up at the beginning it just because he's playing the intro so quickly.

  • That's the beauty of live music... :-)

  • "That's the beauty of live music"

    Indeed it is, FOBCAL.

  • They are really, really great live. I hate the production of album "Puzzle" (it's all radio-friendly, smooth and sweet), but the compositions are VERY strong and performed live they sound raw, emotional - just plain awesome. I wish they visit Poland soon.

  • Your a prick.

    Mon the Poles!

  • what a cool person

  • I am like.

  • yeah like, you are like

  • That's what you call quick replying!!

  • yeah

  • haha as if simon neil has the best scream around

  • i love biffy clyro to death and their new album is amazing but the screaming in the chorus just ruins it.

  • I don´´t think the screaming ruins it. I think it improves the song. It gives it more energy, more punk rock power!

  • not really

  • Simon is a legend and only twins could make taht tight a rhythm section. Mon the Biffy!

  • Nothing could ruin this song.

Apart from anyone but biffy singing it.

He could've slapped the microfone with his cock and it would've been fucking amazing. (:

  • well fast live

    gonna be sick at reading

  • You should hear how fast they played it at Glastonbury Festival this year! Bloody hell!

    Still awesome though! :D

  • THEY WER @ GLASTONBURY!?!?!?!

how did i not know that?!

    Wer they amazing?

did they do new or old stuff or a mix?

  • The sound he gets from that strat is unbelievable.

  • LOL

  • its really cool how he plays his guitar coz i and lots of other people move their rist but he uses his hole arm to strum

  • he kinda goes into a scream a bit of the time

  • master of drop-d!

  • Spot on!

  • he goes mental on the chorus but its really cool

  • love the song shame about the crowd! every time i seen em the crowd sings word to word of every song!!!!!!!!!!!

  • excelent ,great song a lot energy, biffy Clyro ah we rock with u

  • oh my god! simons mental! briliant band tho!

  • MON THE BIFFY!

  • 'mon the FUKIN biffy :P

  • man he botched up that middle bit! otherwise brillllllllllllllllllllll!

  • it is great waching a band that truly enjoy playing live !!! you can tell they love this !!! a very cool band !!!

  • Der Cult von Biffy Clyro wird hier verehrt.

  • there comin to play our school. woop woop

  • Great song. I have to say this wasn't their best performance of Saturday Superhouse, but still good. Thought it was really intense, more intense than other performances I've seen. It's probably because at Radio 1's Big Weekend Biffy really stood out cos they were on a bill with shitty pop acts.

  • Riggermusic i agree....either drunk or very angry at something....

  • i saw the supporting chili peppers at hampden park... they were a amazing!

  • If you like music, you like Biffy!

    Jr.

  • bifkin!!!
