Actually, if you were blowing on the wheel it would be like a teeter-totter and be tilting back and forth. I've seen this in person, I watched my boyfriend do it. He blew on it first to show me, and he even put it under a glass as he did it to prove that he wasn't blowing on it. This is moving and object by focusing your energy through your fingertips and into the object, therefore moving it.  Don't wanna sound like a smart-ass, but it's true. :)
