Did you transport it on it's back? If this is the case your television will have to be taken to a repair shop. Laying a plasma television on it's back/face causes delamination. Delamination is where the two plates that make up your screen seperate. You will probably need to have it replaced. Hope this helps.
man all these issues about these flat TVs worries me b/c they arnt as reliable as the tube TVs but my tube tv the remote sensor on the tv doesnt work and i dont even know if thats fixable or not, the brand is symphonic and its a 19 inch TV VCR combo
Is it the same on any other inputs? I've seen this more on cheap portable dvd players with LCD Driver board failing, but I'm a little surprised to see it on a Toshiba since they tend to have a better quality control. If no warranty - Check Ribbon cables and reseat what cables you can. Move Driver board around a little to see if loose connection. - SF
Toshiba Rear Projection TV quality SUCKS!! I have one (52HM95) that broke within two years and Toshiba has no spare parts to fix it. SAT AWAY FROM TOSHIBA and do your homework on how bad they are.
Yes i am a qualified toshiba tech, the problem is caused by the 'kadafilator' circuit pcb it is inexpensive to repair and can be done easily by any diyer.
Best Buy has a four year waranty you can even renew it as manny times as you need.

If you hear something like definite snapping and popping, don't power up the set any longer!
Definitely have it diagnosed and serviced by someone experienced with Toshiba television sets of the kind you have.
