They're still one of my favorite bands. I did see them once in 1993 in a bar called Hairy Mary's in Des Moines, Iowa.

I found out about these guys I was late for school one day, but I wanted the new Ministry album, so I ran into the music store saw Ministry, and grabbed it, when I got to school, I looked at what I grabbed, and it was these guys, and after school, I checked em out, and loved it, and listened to them that whole summer. Cool to see at least something from them online.

@bluskyze great story! I found out about PRONG in a similar way. I went in to the music store and decided that I'd walk past the cassette tapes (this is a while ago) with my finger on them, and when I stopped walking I'd buy what ever I was pointing at / touching. It was PRONG Beg to Differ. I got home and jammed that fucker all night long! and all summer long too! Gotta dig PRONG! My cousin was mad cuz he wanted to get wishbone. HA! later he was glad i bought the PRONG over wishbone! :)

Man,MINDOVERFOUR were one of the most ahead-of-their-time bands ever and damn near hard to find anything from(why I cherish my Halfway To Down,The Goddess & Empty Hands cds,,I have all 3).Whatever became of any of them?

Just went to Amoeba in HWood to get their stuff on CD because I didn't have it and another friend asked for it. Does anybody have cd's or tapes of stuff before the Goddess? Saw them tour w/ Dag Nasty at Outhouse in Lawrence, KS, then moved to SoCal and saw them play at bar in HB right after they recorded cd prior to Goddess, first song is "She walked int the room and proceeded to crawl on the floor" Anybody, Bueller, Bueller?

These guys were doing some cool shit - back when the early 90's marked a period of extreme growth and depth in metal - that is before the money hungery music industry and retarded rock press killed it by labeling everything " Grunge " or " Alternametal ".

I must admit that I am not as familiar with Mind over four , but this was good and I did like MINDFUNK - good shit.

Saw them warm up Seven Seconds if I remeber correctly. They were touring for their self titled debut album. They were better than The main act. Then I went and saw them on there Goddess tour and they were great. To bad they aren't around anymore.

I've heard Mind Over Four has gained fans from around the globe for years. The main rock radio station, here in my hometown, loves to play their Half Way Down album. These guys have an amazing sound, and it's timeless! Kudos to the drummer!

Great band. I was a member/bass player of this band in 1987-88. Before Richie. Good times.../ bad times. It was a tough time .... hair metal and punk rock... we didnt fit in anywhere. I thought they were genius.

Dan, were you with this MindOverFour when they opened for Dag Nasty in Mobile AL in 87-88? Either way, they completely rocked! Dag quit playing after 3 or 4 songs by claiming they were having sound problems. Yeah, didn't sound anywhere as good as M|4!

The best band that never made it big. I saw them live once on the Out Here tour and they were like nothing I'd ever seen. Very creative band that played whatever music they wanted to play. Amazing talent!
