I like acappella, cuz its nice to hear the singer's voice without the music covering it up. But I agree with cherrii too, singing with music tests another area. But both are great! Even with ur sore throat, you still sound great. Only a few minor offtunes. =) I can totally understand the feeling of singing with a sore throat. It sucks. In fact, I was trying to record a cover just now, but my throat hurts:(

I can tell you what annoys me though (not a prob you have lah ^^). Music overpowering vocals & singing with the original in the background then ppl confuse the orginal to the person singing the cover. It's not that they don't sing well it just makes it difficult to hear them.

hmmm....both got pros/cons i think~
with an accapella we can hear your vocals more clearly & can fully appreciate them.
with music we can hear whether your voice blends well with the music which is important & see whether you are good with timing.

Little noise in backgroud is fine ! Just the "plops" I wonder where they come from ?
Your voice is puer there are still many effects of yours, and once agin you handle your voice so well^^
