A place in time that society forgot . . . .when music was cool, groovy & innocent and lyrics were clean and people were pure and unspoiled . . . unlike today ~ how they serve our kids a bunch of FILTH where lyrics of gang-sta rap & hip hop- are full of profanity, recording artists are horny sexual beings portrayed in videos & pop stars are admired for getting into hot water with the law - WHAT kind of CRAPis that ??? Just another example of the deterioration of the very fabric that holds us up.

I'm probably a bigger Bobby Darin fan than Buddy Holly (hmm debateable) ANyway. This outshines Bobby's version hands down. How come no-one ever put Buddy down as a possible inventor of Rockabilly?
oh where oh where can our buddy ( holly ) be , the lord took him away from me ( and all of us) i know i've gotta be good, so i can meet buddy when i leave this crazy world
This is what you get when Buddy Holly does what he wants when he gets into the studio. Unfortunatly Decca didnt let him be himself changing his music making him do it THEYRE way... Plus the sound wasnt that great. THEN they had the nerve to not release his songs and hold them back from buddy saying "they have money wrapped up in the songs". He sould have went to Coral Records to begin with!
that wood have been cool buddy holly and john lennon together so one posted a fake duet of john lennon and buddy holly but the user pulled it off i wish i wood have made a copy for my self check out jim reeves and joni james singing danny boy its a fake duet i put together
@smego36 both lennon and holly would have spent so much time fighting with each other over what was right nothing would have ever happend anyway.
Paul mc cartney could have pulled it off with holly, holly and lennon both volatile nature would have ended in a fist fight and holly could have ended up being killed by john lennon:)
well only joking, have a good buddy holly documentary ive put up on my channel
YEAH! Bobby Darin and Woody Harris wrote this song, Darin made the first recording of it, but Holly's was the best. I think this is the best version of one of the best rock 'n' roll records ('50s and '60s) ever written.
I remember Buddy Holly very well. This version of Early In The Morning is by far the best rendition of this great classic rock & roll song. Thanks for posting it.
Bobby Darin did indeed write this, and recorded it with a group called "The Rinky Dinks" on ATCO Records....He then went on to bigger and better things under his own name...
Hey i wish he and elvis could have gotten to know each other better and could have done an album together can you immagine that Buddy Holly & Elvis Presley on the same track together.
There's never been anybody that has even come close to Buddy Holly. He was and always will be the best. I was raised on his music and I feel in love with it for over 35 years and I will never stop loving it. Buddy will live on forever through his music.
There's only been one Buddy Holly no one can ever come close to his perfection in singing. He will always be the best. Nobody will ever be able to do what he did. I was raised on listening to this music now my children listen to it and love it. It will never be too old to listen to, its just simply the best.
Hmmm 1958...was I really born that year????
Wonder if this song played in the hospital?
Great

You're wrong my friend. Randolph used to back Holly in many songs but not in this one. Here's black sax player King Curtis

Is that really King Curtis? WOW!
He's an amazing player in his own right, but i never knew he'd backed Charles Hardin dude?
