I use your yanma strategy on my yanmega and it works fine, although i give it a wide lens. I also have air slash replaced with dream eater so I can heal back the hp lost from substitute.

i like this pass because it very much runs with the "all or nothing" slogan. if smoochum can get trick room going then the rest of the team can sweep, but if one tiny thing goes wrong, like it could have done for yanma, then the whole thing would've fallen apart.

if the opponent started with a choice scarf heracross, it would have shredded the whole team, albeit with a bit of swotching. but thankfully on this occasion yanma ripped the opponent to shreds, well done yet again!

@kookooburu Well, this team is pretty delicate for obvious reasons. It was never meant to be a serious team; I battled online with this once as a joke and people liked it enough that I kept it online.

Under the right circumstances, Yanma could take on Heracross. I'd just need to know what sort of Heracross it is beforehand.

Oh ok. I noticed an attack difference in two pokemon with the same level, moves, and nature. The one that said "likes to fight" had a higher attack, while the one that said "likes to run" had a higher speed. But thanks for clearing that up.

Hey I just realized something! Aside from EVs, IVs, and Nature, there is ANOTHER way to boost a specific stat on a pokemon. I think it was called "personality", and unlike Nature, it deosnt come with the cost of lowering another stat! I think there are about 30 different personalities, 5 for each stat. For example, if your pokemon's personality is "loves to eat", then it's HP would be raised, while something like "alert to sounds" would raise Speed!

Those aren't boosts, but clues. They tell you which stat has the highest IV, and what the remainder would be if you divide it by 5.

Man, that sucks what happened with Munchlax. Earthquake barely did over half that turn too. And trick room ended. If it weren't for that, you could have pulled off another curse and rest.

Technically it did over half. At Munchlax HP, it was with 210. half of it is 105, and Munch first EQ damage got 108. O.o

NIce match good to see yanma help out in this battle being able to knockout swampert with no life taken as well as making him sleep, making a KO alot easier and that gave you a chance to win with alakazam being the last pokemon left and did the same strategy, that was excellent composure and great strategy

But I'm kinda in a dilemma. I could give smoochum trick room like yours, but magby isn't the slowest pokemon and teddiursa has quick feet which may help boost his speed.

So what should I do with my smoochum?

There are other ways to work with Smoochum. In any case, if you have all of those Pokémon and Pichu on top of that, you on't need Trick Room at all.

Try thinking of Smoochum in terms of Jynx. That might help you find an idea.

Vaporeon is good with hp and special attack.

Don't just EV train the stats that are good. Think of what role you want the Pokemon to fill.

IMO Vaporeon is much better defencively than offencively, so I would advise against heavily EVing Sp. Attack.

Of course, if your Vaporeon is meant to be KOing specific threats, some Sp. Attack would be useful.

It's because Jolteon was fast and Flareon could hit hard...then people realized Flareon was ill-suited to its stats and fell in popularity.

Vaporeon's moves looked like they were all over the place, really. People didn't know what to make of them. Later, people realized Vaporeon can stall pretty well and hit pretty hard.

Not really. It actually looked like an interesting choice of Pokemon; Froslass, Feraligatr, and Blastoise aren't very good at competitave battling.

Well you can never be sure of the reason why people don't give out their friend passes. Though it's likely either the reason mentioned by ARodYanFan or you hold true for this person.

Personally I don't exchange passes because I'd rather not have my Pokemon's exact stats/natures/move sets roaming all over the internet. If there was another method of saying "GG" I'd gladly do that- even in a loss.

i think that someting is wrong with pokemon games, because the damage done is not always the same,

for instance, my rhypeour got hit by a attack and had half of health done, but when same attach hit, it suvived, meaning it did less damage that turn

also i rem on fire red that i saved in front of each elite four and when hit opponents pokemon, small amount of heatlth left but when turn off and do again knocks the pokemon out

not saying a big deal, just that some battles might be slightly unfair

when a pokemon attacks, they have a formula to figure out how much damage a pokemon will deal out with an attack, well in this formula there is a random number from 1-100 which also plays a part, so that not every move does the same damage each time it is used
