I have to say that his musical maturity between this and something corporate is like comparing a 1 year old to a 95 yr old man. I think his brush with cancer and sensing his own mortality really brought into perspective his view on life and what inspires him.

I'm 18 and i have been listening to this song nonstop for a whole day now and will probably continue to.

But, this version (in my honest opinion) takes away from it's structure. The song is designed to sound like a mixtape. And with acoustic renditions, you don't get the symphonic sounds, the hard rock distortion, or any of the jazz/blues feel. Nonetheless, an amazing acoustic version.

Well, you have to think of that fact that the day Into the Transit was released, he checked into the hospital with leukemia. That can really change the voice, you can lose your whole top range. That could be why his voice is really scratchy, if this is after his encounter with cancer. :)
