@silvercelli - I think your comment is a lot of hooey.
1) "We make agreements as to it's (sic) exchange rate." = BS. We are forced by fiat to accept the value assigned to it. Try offering someone less than minimum wage to work for you, and see if you don't get in trouble.
2) "We don't need gold or silver, as long as we REGULATED the dollar supply". Oh, really? Duh! Who gets to be the "we" in charge of doing that? Another "Bendover Bernanke"? Or did you have another crook in mind?
So, in the eventuality of the current cycle disintegrating, what might come next? It doesn't seem likely that Precious Metals will suffice to serve the world economy, even if the Powers That Be would tolerate the loss of the means to create "money" out of thin air. Addiction to Fiat seems too powerful to simply let go. ='[.]'=
@Raycheetah I believe the next step once every government in the world gets to the point of no return (which is soon) and chaos ensues, people will unfortunately look to the government for salvation and they will issue another fiat currency, this time maybe digital(like interac). If you have something of real value i.e. gold, silver, food, land etc. you won't get wiped out like everyone else, precious metals store wealth, fiat does not.
Everything happening today is by design with the ultimate goal being a one world currency to save the day. One World Currency controlled by the same banksters that are robbing us blind today.
