@ChangeSona Even with good ears and trained in music theory, it's pretty hard to pick apart a piece, especially one with multiple voices. And to make it harder, Hisaishi's a pianist, which means you have to find the hundreds of subtle chords.

OK class, Japanese grammer lesson again. If you want to present a fact, you should use present tence. In that case, "Joe wa sugoi desu." is suitable. If you want to say in past tence, then "Joe wa sugokatta desu." is correct.

Another lesson. "tanoshii" means fun. So, if you feel it's fun, the expression is correct. But I personally feel wonderful rather than fun. In that case you can use "subarashii" instead of "tanoshii". Got it?

I love how his melodies are very simple, particularly when he's playing on his own without the cellos

it is true of all his music, he uses simple melodies and develops then amazingly. Even when just the piano is playing a simple melody, its so effective in making the listener feel the emotion.
