@Link123941 Theres no short explanation lol IT and the turtle both originated in a void called the Macroverse they were created by an entity known only as "The Other".

The turtle spewed up the universe and is now half dead in its shell floating through space,the turtle and IT are natural enemies,IT believes itself to be the stronger of the two but its wrong,the turtle appears to aid the losers throughout the story,bill even gets to meet the turtle during the ritual of CHUD.

The book is one of my all time favorite, dunno for the audio version, it sounds good I think.

I loved the movie too, can't wait for the remake.

I agree. The movie had no way of getting into the characters' heads, and their paranoia is what really sets the unnerving mood.
