  • You're on point about this being real first to let people understand where they are in the moment so they can know where they are building from. The worst thing to do is to give people the illusion they are something that they are not. But, it's all about how you go about it that causes people to want to receive the information. A good speaker understands the audience he is speaking to so that the audience will want to follow you in the direction you are leading them.

  • this guy obviously doesn't want society to progress.

  • in da hood we be car jackin niggas we ahhll be ah makin on da big macs an ahll yu be knowin and dat be da shieeit

  • u piss me off and u are full of bs

  • This is one of the worst videos I've seen in a long time. I'm sorry I even watched half of it.

  • this man is real..if he is not then how come most people worldwide are broke or have money but not enough? and how come only 1% of the people in this whole world have the bulk of the money, gold oil etc...GET REAL!!!

  • Damn , right from his own mouth he admits he is "psuedo" this and that! That word means fake, artificial, cubit zirconium etc..LOL! The foundation analogy was great and thats what he should build on but the rest was just as he said FAKE because it is a fact you can be what you want by avoiding pitfalls, obstacles and applying hard work & never giving in or up! Stand for something or fall for anything!

  • How can you say "you become what you think about" and then advise people to think in limiting beliefs, limitng themselves? It's completely contradictory.

So you sir are wrong, you can turn your life around if you so choose, but the first step would be to stop listening to you, and listen to (and apply) Earl Nightingale's (and others) teachings directly, not your negative interpretation of it.

  • Making 200 hundred dollars a day is not good money? Making 400-500 a day is paycheck to paycheck? Are you serious? Do the damn math. First off, 200 dollars a day 5 days a week is about 48 grand a year. That is very much a middle class level income. Up that to 400 a day = 96 grand a year. Paycheck to paycheck my ass. Maybe if you buy a big ass house, have 3 kids, and own 2 cars it is.

I make roughly 400 dollars a WEEK. I live very comfortably.

  • i listened for 53 seconds and realised this man is a negative soul so i stopped the vid! but to tell the truth something about his face told me not to click on his vid but i ignored my instinct

  • "The stage is set for me to become the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time" -Muhammad Ali

  • What an ignorant ass. Horrible speaker. He sounds real successful, doesn't he?

  • This guy is ignorant. It's clear he hasn't studied "The science of getting rich." To become rich you must think, feel, and act how rich act. You are telling kids (aspiring artist, ect) not to chase their dreams. To "keep it real" and not see themselves greater than reality.

Did Martin Luther King Jr. not have a dream? Did he look at his reality and say: "I want to change this, but thats not a realistic goal?"

  • I think more people should just do what makes them happy in life, contribute, do something because you want to, and then apply a worthy goal, thats how we measure success. We are ALL capable of achieving great things. Are you happy and fulfilled or thinking about what you 'think' you cant do?

  • great video. keep on telling the truth.

  • Interesting, I believe the message should be more positive; seems too negative...

  • great speech! you can spend your whole life thinking of the things you want, but if you dun take action, you aint gonna get it. start by building a foundation, set realistic goals, focus on ur goals and then take consistent action to achieve it.

  • Teach, brother. Part of the problem is that we live in a sound bite world "yes we can" "keep hope alive". We already know that it's possible to aim high; but most of us don't know what steps to take. Even children need to aim for education (not just indoctrination) savings, learning to work collectively with family and others, healthy living, honesty and spirituality or a moral code. Cutthroat dog-eat-dog mentality doesn't work for minorities in the USA.. or anywhere.

  • Thanks for the realism. I have always said "keep hope alive" was bull! Marc stated only 7% of CPS students (Blacks I bet it is much lower) will obtain a bachelors by age 25. Well then why the hell is Arne Duncan being considered for Sec. of Ed.

Here is something else to think about. Why is it that East Indians, Jamaicans, Africans, Koreans and Chinese fare so much better. I think through Black Achievement we can easily reverse the trend.

  • oops thats marc with a C, My badd

  • u da man...mark

  • Jesus isn't going to come down and save me? Shucks! I've been waiting here doing nothing for all these years "just a waiting..." but if what you say is true, I guess I better get off my tail and get to ACTION! Always a pleasure Marc. ;-)

  • Amen to the truth and don't believe everything about celebrities as some of them aren't balling like people claim they do.

Also Marc you are successful and being a millionaire means taxes. You will be taxed.

  • The more money you make, the more "tax avoidance" mechanisms you learn about AND utilize. ;-)

  • Kudos Marc - I`d give you 6 stars if I could.

  • Mr.Sims your are truly an inspiration..people don't like reality. But overtime they appreciate it.

  • reality is just an illusion.
