The baby will always be wrapped in a blue blanket, BUT it's never specifically referred to as a "he" or a "she" and it never grows up to a stage at which its gender would be distinguishable. So all the babies in this game are genderless; you can name them whatever you want and it doesn't make a difference. There are no girl babies or boy babies.

(in year 2) I have 3 cow, 5 chicken (always 1 for sale), and 3 sheep and 2 horses. They all have 8-10 hearts. Now my baby is born... I hate it! xD Yeah, I keep ingredients and stuff - I never cook, but for Bravo Drinks, Thanksgiving cake... It's the name of an old baby doll I once spent hours, maybe days, searching in a baby name book to name. xP Then when it came time for my baby, I wanted to keep the name, AND it rhymed: Ray, me... and Kay-mie! xD Although it also rhymes with Jamie... o_O It's little kiddish for a "REAL-life" (as if this isn't "real," quote-end-quote xD) name when the kid grows into an adult, but since the baby doesn't grow up here, I figured it's all good!

You need 8-10 hearts with an eligible bachelor, upgrade to a Level 3 house, & get the Large bed. 30 Notes are supposedly necessary, but a friend recently told me she got married without it. Anyway, once you've met the requirements, the Mayor will come to your door & tell you about the Blue Feather. Climb Mt. Moon to retrieve it, & use it to propose. ^^ Keep your spouse happy & as soon as 20 days later you'll find out you're pregnant. About 2 seasons later (59 days?) you'll have the baby. =D
