I didn't see where you messed up, so chances are neither did the judge. Good job! ;) Thats one thing I like about OHSET....Almost every event centers around the expo and drill is always in the Compton arena. Thank god it's not the Isola....The speakers in that one fail badly. :/

If you need songs and don't end up using this one, I'd recommend some of the others we used/considered/other teams have used: You Give Love a Bad Name - Bon Jovi, Jump - Van Halen, Hick Town - Jason Aldean, Mony Mony - Billy Idol, Paralyzer - Finger Eleven and Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne are all great songs for drill :D Good luck picking, and PM me if you need more ideas!

I was at a drill comp. in June, and a whistle wasnt blown during a suicide pinwheel, and we had 16, yes 16, riders. About 4 or 5 of us wound up in the wrong spot, but everyone found it quickly, except for me:P I rode half the drill in a new spot!

thanks! our coaches Nick & Jane wrote that drill for us.. they're awesome at choreography. as for going faster, we did in the years after this (especially the next year... we wrote a 5:30 drill and ran it in 4:00 flat! :O! ), but this year we had a couple slower horses on the team, so we slowed down to accommodate :]

Rainy (the pony) was actually one of the fastest! It took me forever to get her to rate enough to keep her in the pattern. She wasn't as fast this year though XD

Man, we had such a good chance, and we get freaking SCREWED in 2005..We could have beaten Forest Grove at state, by just throwing out the same judge's scores who screwed us out of our district trophy.) That is AMAZING! I want to do color guard this year, but until we can come up with a team I'm stuck on drill taem for now. Our team has 24 people so things get a little chaotic. I would love to do HS drill team.
You guys did a great job. I have a drill team of 12 riders in BC Canada and it take a lot of practice to pull off a well sincronized drill. And very well trained horses, our have to carry flags and preform a 20 minute preformance. You deserve a pat on the back and so do your horses! Hope to see more of great work in the future.

We placed 11th at state last year, and this year we've got a 6-man team (so we're in with the big boys!!). We placed 3rd at this meet, even with some odd/sporadic judging (honestly, every score was between 5 and 6.5. It was weird.) One judge placed us only half a point below Forest Grove, who've been either 1st or 2nd at State for the last four years. Heck yeah, right? Hopefully I'll get that vid up soon, even though the arena is harder to tape in, so it's less clear.
