• android version please!

  • 40 people are mad because they bought a G-Tec

  • The app is kinda good, but that is one HORRIBLE 60ft!!!!

  • do they have a android version?

  • @xxnissansilviaxx Yes.. it's called Adyno and it's pretty darned good.

  • Do you have iPhone app idea? You can make your own iPhone app with a software called AppWizard in less than 30 minutes

  • how to hack wifi networks with an iPhone, ipod touch, or ipad!?!? well iwifihack (dot) net showed me how!!!

  • @ConsuelLager

Iphone cant hack wifi... Not depend on softwer, it is inpossible with the built in wifi noob..

  • make money online! no skill just patience /watch?v=BMPhsRN19Ms

  • i agree with the guy. i ran a few times with both the gtech and the dynolicious. i also threw the g-tech over my shoulder after the 2nd run.

    totally true vid.

  • This dude is a poseur.

  • ARE you LAKET !!!:)))

  • sexiest mini cooper EVER o_o

  • "Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter"

  • not enough prove for which one is the best, should do more runs...

  • Did you seriously pull a 2.8 60ft? How can you be the host of a car show when you drive worst than a grandma in a damn Geo Metro? I know its FWD but really? Maybe a 2.3 or 2.4 on a BAD run but I have never seen any car perform THAT badly. Your objective was to show how bad the G-Tech is but all you showed us is your lack of talent and an embarrassment to all car fans. Congrats Douche

  • @cozzey05 Its a mini......

  • What a fucking asshat

  • love the simpson helmet in black :) how stig-ish of you :D

  • please roll that mini huck of shit off a cliff

  • I love the program, but as I have learned, the track won't let you have your phone in car at all or anything hanging from the window during a race, which sadly makes this a street ONLY program. I still am glad I bought it though. I dyno'd my on at 166hp and it was exactly on. It says my Mazda 6S makes 220 at the wheels, so I will find out on the 2nd when I go dyno it if I was close.

  • @americansmark Or at least the tracks I go to won't. :(

  • Hey, guys! Who else wanna get a cool iPnone for absolutely free? Just go here: u(dot)nu/8zjse

  • G-tech is very accurate and can show the curve of power and torque and that iPhone doesnt. It also can measure 1/1000 of G, but not sure how accurate is G-meters in iPhone.

And in the video they had wrong installed it, of course it was inaccurate! He cant point it with display towards the eyes of driver.

  • @dado304

if your talking about the iphone mounted wrongyour wrong

as long as the iphone is facing the right way it dosnt matter if its on a angle

and ive found it to be within .02 of a second downt he strip many times

  • can you really get that for the ipod?

  • Brilliant app !

  • make sense to me! a few runs should have been made to eliminate any bad runs or slip up's with the G-Tech or the App but i think the App is better as well. just my opinion

  • i did a test with this app and it worked like dead on in terms of horsepower. i uploaded the vid

  • I like the fact that he got blown away by the VR6!!!!!! Dynolicious ROCKS!!!

  • Do these technologies care about air resistance, which differs from a car to another, depending on its areodynamism??

  • of course not! But when you drive from 0 to 60 - the air resistance is not that important!

  • Ummm, at the end you say a $150 gtech compared to a $13 app..... I think your forgeting the fact that you actually have to buy the IPhone..... Or are i phones free in america??? So here i would be looking at over $900 for the iphone version..... and i bought my gtech brand new for $80....... hmmmmm, think ill stick with the 1/10th price gtech thanks.

  • lmao, sour grapes!

  • iPhone 3G is $99 with the plan. And you more than just that app. A shit load of other stuff.

  • @MalliganTheUFO lol you like the g-tech giving you faster times dont you

i agree you wouldnt buy the iphone just for the dyno app (although its one of the apps thats swayed me)

im sure he was considering that most people already have them anyway

900 dollars isnt the price u pay for the app its the price you pay for a phone

  • Hey Guy,

Get the latest paid apps all for free at

    touchphonedownloads(,)com

    5 star'ed the video

    G21326057

  • this fat guy is a joke ..i have a gtech and an i phone and the gtech ss is on pint, and if u are a retard like this guy cant even mount it on the window,ur not goin to get a good result..

  • Great video!!! brother I'm From brasil, and a would like to buy a Ipod end install dynolirious, but a have a question, It have to be a IPOD Touch Screen, but this works in all versions, or generations of Ipods or have to be one with W-fi or a generation in special???

Plese halp me...and if see my moves if you like old cars...a hav a Puma GTE 1977, a brasilian car that have been exported from younited states!!

Wait tou understand everyfing my inglish is poor!!!

    Thanks!!!

  • mustang dyno's reads lower. so on a dynojet.. it should be within decimals of the iphone app... this is pretty cool..

  • I don't have either, but I gave this vid 1 star because I just don't like the obnoxious gorillas attitude. He blatantly admits he can't mount the G-tech or use it properly, what a a fricken caveman. He should spend less time making his beard look stupid and more time reading the fucking instructions.

  • @UbeefHooked

    word!!

  • its pretty cool app

i tried this app today n it show me that i did in 1/8 mi in 8.67 sec @ 95.7 mph

n i did on 1/4 mi in 12.76 sec @ 127.1 mph n i only got bbk pulleys n straight pipes with JBA exhaust on ma 07 GT...

now for a stock 07 Stang GT does a

    1/4 mil in 14.3 sec.

i havent gone to the drag yet but when i do it will compare both of them

  • This is the kind of guy that straps a deer head to his old ass truck, believe a cordless drill is a vibrator, and tosses his shorts in his trunk to air out. Dumbass!

  • Great video i thinck you should do one to show us how to instale it in a iPod touch into the car thanks

  • 165HP on a heavy compact, not that much, get something sporty or fast or both for a test.

  • I can't believe you posted a time slip with a 2.8 60 ft. You're the host of a car talk show and you pulled a 2.8 60 ft. I've seen 4 banger toyota trucks do better than that.

  • should have done a few runs then compared, not one, this isnt valid to me

  • 4:09 ;-)

    Nice app btw.

  • @903aaron903 Well if you listen to what they say about the G-tech " it fell of the windscreen a couple of times " that is plural as in multiple wich might suggest they did more then one run. And further more i have the dynolicious app and it works gr8 i have tried it on my golf r32 my brothers GTI and my friends KTM Superduke ( so yeah works on bikes too ).

  • @903aaron903 Ah at 4:10 he said they did a few runs.

  • @903aaron903 he sad mutiple times that he had done more runs, lissen before comenting

  • @903aaron903 he said he did a few runs. 4:10

  • @903aaron903 They compared it to the tracks records, which must be accurate... right?

  • @903aaron903 He blatantly says" we did a few runs, here's the results." at 4:09 so, that means they did more than one. I'm not saying the app is completely accurate, but that is pretty cool for people that can spend $13 and get close to what performance their car has when they cant go to a dyno. I don't believe the hp would be correct on a highly boosted application but then agian you need tunning to get the vehicle running right.

  • Please someone teach that asshat how to stage.

  • I have to say the graphs are amazing and the accuracy is really good my zx3 focus with nothing but a muffler with resonator removed came out to 100whp so gotta say this is a must have app for any car enthusiast !

  • wat kind of paint did that mini had

  • Thanks a lot for the review!

  • will the dynolicious application work with a ipod touch 8gb?

  • if you wifi in your car lol

  • yeah it will work. just get it through iTune and install it into your ipod touch. I just got this program and it's pretty cool. cant say its better than gtech b/c i dont have gtech.

  • I would like to have mini cooper too! It's cool and ok for performance/look/handling/consuption of fuel...

  • Just try to read all comments but not point, that garage bla bla is sold soul, I think like somebody told "Apple has an amazing marketing department that is willing to do anything to sell their phones." and how that people wish to buy something what not see and try ( think on first realize of I Phone)

    C'mon, don't be stupid , use your brain !

  • ....garage419....COME BACK PLEASE!!!

  • Why didn't you show the actual G-Tech reading like you did the IPhone? They're both about 0.7mph off.

  • 1.5 g LOOOL

  • i know that cant be right...

  • possible?! A stock MINI Cooper??

  • its guys like this that make racing not as credible....possibly on the iphone ap payroll....didnt mama tell you son ..if u have nothing nice to say ..shut up haha.....its possible you dont got your g tech calibrated correctly also

  • This guy is a total clown.........

  • lol if the slips were all reasonably similar then you should have shown the iphone results with each slip, not just one that happened to match up with a slip you had.

Sorry but this story smells fishy.

You have the gtec sideways for christs sake. For some reason, probably money driven, you are pushing a toy iphone app that may or may not be very accurate and calling the gtec shit. All we know is you took one slip and matched it to one time on the iphone. Were they the same run? we dont know.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow the host of this is a FUCKING MORON

Dont want the g tec to fall off? CLEAN YOUR FUCKING WINDSHIELD

Dont want it to start timing while your doing a burnout? THEN DONT FUCKING PRESS START YOU FUCKIN IDIOT. Positive g force triggers the timer. It wont start timing until you press the button and it says go. You dont press that until your staged. The i phone would do the same thing

Your a fucking idiot and dont know shit about cars. Maybe try doing more then one run and see how accurate it is

  • i agree with you totally.... the whole staging with the gtech already started .. dumb...

  • will the dynolicious work for the i pod?

  • this guy kinda reminds me of joe rogan

  • This makes me want to buy an iphone... or an ipod wifi

  • Tehee, iPod WiFi..

  • by your own admission you dont know how to use the GTech Pro!

the mount dont come off the screen, mines been stuck to the screen for 5 years!

GTech doesnt need a recalibration for each car.

The reason the iPhone dyno gives a better reading is because its simple so you can use it lol.

  • "The car weighed about 36- 37hundred lbs" whata DBAG. lol Of course it's not gonna be accurate if you dont even know the weight dbag.

  • And last but not least, you do NOT have to calibrate it for every car. For times like 1/4th mile, 0-250 250-0 and every time in between there is no need to calibrate.

If you do calibrate, you get a lot more features than the Iphone app; you get complete torque and hp graphs. Which is way more usefull then a peak hp reading.

This is no rant about Dynolicious, which is great, especially for the money. But it's funny to see how people who don't know how to use a G-Tech think it's horrible :D

  • Sorry, but what a n00bs. I have a G-Tech Pro RR and it's very accurate. Enough prove to find that. And why didn't they show the hp reading of the G-Tech? Was it way more accurate and did it not fit in their G-Tech rant?

The G-Tech falling off your windscreen? Maybe the should try and clean their windscreen more than every two years. The thing never fell off. They also don't seem to be able to mount it right; it should be mounted straight! RTFM!

  • Great Vid, thanks for the info, I'm going to get an ipod touch just for this app.

  • great vidd

  • They did weigh the car, and they did calibrate the G-Tech. What they didn't do is read the manual. The manual says that the accelerometer has no way measuring the time it takes a car to leave the staging area, so you are supposed to add .35-.5 seconds to the run to get an accurate figure. If you .5 to the time the G-Tech read, you get almost the exact same time that got posted at the track.

I am impressed with the accuracy of the iPhone software, though.

  • these idiots simply dont know how to use a g-tech... no proper calibrations done i bet...

  • i have to agree,

even the most accurate instruments are inaccurate if you dont callibrate them and use them correctly,

these two clowns dont even know how to mount the g-tech straight,

probably the kinda guys that think they dont need to read any instructions for anything they buy,

the good news is people like that are easy to beat on strip or street.

  • who cares if they calibrated it correctly or not. The overall point remains, a 13 dollar iphone app is easier to use and a better value than Gtech. Even if the Gtech was spot on, the app is still a better value.

  • how much does does an iphone cost.. $13 right.. no more then a g-tech...

  • @mushaddiv if your contract runs out you cant use it no more..g-tech never runs out...plus you dont have to make a payment every month.. and what if someone calls wtf...

  • @oddessy2g

what contract? you can take apps you buy and switch them to your next iphone. make a payment every month? its a one time fee. If someone calls? its called multitasking. iphones can run an app while receiving a call.

  • I'd love to see the Dynolicious put head to head on some FAST cars, I've yet to see a test on anything faster than a 14 second car.

Lets put this in some tire lifting, big block, nitrous huffing, turbo spooling cars and see how accurate it is then.

  • your a bunch of morons saying the gtech is crap.

i used a weighbridge to work out the exact weight of my car (with me in it), then calibrated it.

went to willowbank raceway (Famous australian dragstrip) and my quarter mile time on the gtech, was within 0.01 of the drag strip time

  • could you please tell me what the song track is called ??

  • LIARS.

1.54g max acceleration? in a mid 15 second car?

    YEAH RIGHT.

  • I don't own either of these devices, but this video did suck -- You have to set up the iPhone just like the G-Tech. You can't just put it into the car if you want to calculate horsepower/torque ... you must put in vehical weight, cargo weight, passenger weight, etc.... Not so much a biased video, as the guy yapping was talking out of his ass (his buddy should have corrected him). If he wants to give away the G-Tech, hook me up.

  • GTECHs are only as accurate as the settings in it. In other words, if you, like 95% of people with a gtech, are too dickless to set it up properly, including knowing the ACTUAL weight of YOUR car (did you weigh your car with you in it?) then it wont have a prayer. If you set it up properly, its actually fairly accurate.

  • Yea right and i had a 150 hp car with 1,5 ton of weight which did 7.2 sec 0-66

G-TECH SUCKS everyone knows that! You can only check is the car faster or slower after mods, but it is not a real 1/4 time!!!!

About the DYNO IPHONE i dont know.... never used one

  • Every knows that G-tech sucks? Umm i've never heard anyone say that. Watch the G-tech video with the BMW M3. The guy makes like 10+ runs at a dragstrip using the G-tech at the same time and the G-tech is never more than a few hundredths of a second off. I have a Passport Escort GT1 Timer, an off-brand of the G-tech and I used it at the dragstrip and it was always within a few hundredths of a second and 1 mph.

  • let me laught at you!! This was just to see how accurate the iphone was, not so much about the gtech.

  • Wow this is the biggest bullshit i've ever seen. first of all the G-tech screen was not even shown so we can already assume they could be lying about the G-tech's time. Second, the G-tech was facing towards the driver and the Iphone was centered which makes a difference. And third, the default rollout distance setting on the G-tech = a very light stage at the drags. He staged so deep that the top light wasn't even on.... That was EASY to disprove.

  • No wonder the G-tech results were inaccurate! Look at the way it's mounted in the car in the video - you haven't followed the instructions and mounted the unit with the screen facing the rear of the car, it's angled up and towards the driver!

  • nice mini coopers

  • hey man that's pretty good for a 13$ dyno.

  • look at the rest of their videos, more from Garage419 - over half of them are iphone apps.

  • does this app work on the iTouch?

  • Yeah, I prefer it for the touch cause you don't have to worry about people calling you while your doing a run, lol.

  • Which DRIVETRAIN LOSS have you set for your Mini?

    Thanks! Nice video!

  • How much did your r56 weigh?

  • That's funny... I benchmarked dynolicious on a few different iPhones against a Racelogic Vbox (GPS datalogger that most magazines use to get performance figures) and it was, without fail, miles out from actual. This sounds suspiciously like an infomercial.

  • have you put the iphone on a solid mount? i honestly havent had much problems with it besides figuring out that the mount has to be solid to get accurate results. i like the iphone app cause its cheap and works pretty damn good imo.

  • very nice comparison, i bought a gtech like 4 years ago and for what it was it worked fairly well, not completely acurate but it worked in its time, dynolicious looks to be alot better, im hoping someone comes out with a similar app for the blackberry storm as it also features an accelerometer.

  • you guys are so full of it..im sure you did the absolute shittiest job calibrating the Gtech every time.

  • thanks for sharing info!! You guys are great! getting it now!! Don´t mind the haters ;-)

  • Neither lying nor fag, as you implied. I never used it before showing up at the track that day, it fell off during our tests.

  • wow your a fucking idiot. you know those things you do before you do your 1/4 mile run? its called a BURNOUT-- thats when he stated it fell off. dumbass

someone's never been to the track

  • Go back and watch the video and listen this time before you talk shit. He said it fell off a couple times, but during the video it stays on the whole time. Now for the dumb ass that would be YOU and anyone else that starts the g tech before the burnout and not after the burnout because motion starts any accelerometer. Again watch and you can see the driver start the g tech after the burnout and have no problems. The garage419guy talked shit just like you.

  • donde lo puedo comprar? cual es el precio real?

  • 250bhp reading 118 to 120 ... that's because G-Tech calculates power left to accelerate the car after losses through air resistance and gearbox/drivechain...

Granted 130hp is a big loss ... did you follow the instructions for testing horsepower rather than just gunning it for a 0-60 time and then looking at the horsepower?

  • that golf vr6 sounds sick in the backround!!! o ya the iphones cool too...

  • Haha not bad. pretty accurate the iphone was. lucky for me i got both G-tech SS and Ipod touch with wi-fi. However the G-tech is very sensitive, I cant use the fan or stereo or anything like that when using the G-tech. Maybe ipod is the better choice.

  • they deep staged to make the number seem more off lol in the manual g tech says to get similar results u need to shallow stage as much as possible lol

  • no problem

  • the only time reaction times matter is during a real race, when the light turns green the timer starts. but in time trail passes like what they showed in the video, the timer starts when your car moves.

  • I've never done a real race, only test and tune type races. But thanks for clearing it up.

  • m4lvolio < ignorant ass hole

  • awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • would like to see how well this would work on a "fast" car.... something at least 11 second 1/4 mile or quicker. when we used to use the g-tech the quicker the car was the more inaccurate it got.. slow cars (cooper) were always pretty dead on....

  • Am I just stoned, or does a mini in tiger camouflage flash at about 5:29???

Anyhow, interesting idea, cell-phone/insta-dyno, sounds promising.

  • yes thats matt's mini, G419 did an episode about the making of that car

  • give it one star, ...get rid of the ads in the video

  • "Apple has an amazing marketing department that is willing to do anything to sell their phones."

much like the US government has a great marketing department *HINT* FOX NEWS *HINT* to create artificial wars... does that ring a bell to you? :)

  • Wait a min, how the hell does the govt have anything to do with iPhones, Programs(apps) and basically this video :)? I am lost here. Anyways great video can't wait to test out the app on my phone.

    -Joe

  • comparison testing

  • they didn't use the reaction times. obviously they wouldn't overlook a huge flaw like that.

  • wait maybe not... sorry

  • Why the need to go into politics? Stop trolling.

  • You're an idiot and know nothing of drag racing.

  • if you add the late reaction time to your gtech meter it is correct and you iphone was off.

Neither can determine your reaction time.

    you ran a 15.1 plus a .4 reaction

acclerometers can only determine after the time you move

    GTECH - correct

    Iphone - Wrong

You dont know how to use the gtech. You are dumb if you think something as simple as the gtech is difficult to use.

    Biased report obviously

    Liars for Profit

  • The time doesn't start until you cross the starting line noob.

  • thank you - glad someone said it!

  • can you elaborate on that plz?

  • lol, i have two negatives because people don't understand how drag racing works.

What's to elaborate on? Go to the drag strip sometime and when the green light hits, sit there and wait for awhile, then go. Your time won't be any worse with a 5 second reaction than a .001 reaction.

I've won races at the strip as far as time is concerned and crossed the line last and vice versa.

THE TIME DOESN'T START UNTIL THE LINE IS CROSSED NOT WHEN THE GREEN LIGHT HITS.

  • You are also an idiot and have no idea what you are talking about.

  • @mittensmuffin

uhh dont know about your dragstrip

but down here they dont start timing you till you hit roughly a 12" rollout

which can be acounted for in the iphone

  • does this work on the regular non 3g one?

  • i have it and love it. it is very accurate.

  • host is fucking annoying

  • the gtech can be fiddly, but it can give accurate results with some tinkering with the settings, such as rollout, weight including driver, it usually likes to be mounted front row centre not twisted and just slapped on the window its not that type of thing. the gtech is factroy set for shallow staging so you launch and it triggers a little while after, you can change that. and you usually have to plug into the computer to see the real results.. yes.. very fiddly. dynolicious might prove useful.

  • o m g sweet mini cooper

  • yawn

  • A joke, not a test:)

  • this one is better-> watch?v=1UEOZGFzPas

  • AH HAHAHAHA, i got fucking rick-rolled

  • What do you mean?

  • fucking guy a couple comments back said "look at this video" and it was a rick-roll video, made me laugh pretty hard.

  • You fail newfag.

  • A little detail that Garage 419 failed to note - reaction time.

The R/T on the slip was .926, meaning .426 seconds behind the green. The clock (that ultimately timed them at 15.614) starts at the green.

The gtech read 15.16. When you add the .426 seconds sitting at the line...the time is TADA...pretty fuggin accurate (15.58). The iPhone read 15.64, however, when you add .426, the iPhone is the one a 1/2 second off and the gtech pro becomes the winner of 1/4 mile drag time.

  • when you make a run at a track your reaction time doesn't affect your overall time.

the reaction time is the time it take from the light turning green to your tires passing the light and the E.T. is the time it takes from your tires crossing the lights to the time you cross the finish line.

  • Exactly. On a "sport tree" like we used the R/T doesn't matter. If we had used a "pro tree" like in Top Fuel or Funny Car, the R/T would count. But we didn't.

  • this egocentric piece of shit needs to shave that shit on his cheeks.

  • I'd rather keep it gangster.

  • wow shit !

    awsome !
