  • Noo! Neutrinoo you should have the power to make this available for mobile. Just sayin.

  • Roll, me a jay:)

  • my favorite song by them. words cannot describe how much i love it....

  • beautiful song!!!!

  • skins! fucking skins!

  • @charlieissoredlike I WATCH SKINS!!!!!!

  • I just fucking realized that good music isn't dead. It is well alive in bands such as these. People who say "no good music is being made these days" are just not delving deep enough, they gotta look past the corporation and radio-part of it all. That shit ain't music. THIS is music. And shit, it has developed! Queen, Beatles, Led Zep are gone, but music has evolved into something even more fucking beautiful. Fleet Foxes... They really are one of a kind. Fucking love them so much. Love you all!!!

  • @TranceTechnoSucks Well said my friend.

  • @TranceTechnoSucks I completely agree. When I first heard this I almost collapsed it was so amazing. (I also love their song White Winter Hymnal)

  • this is amazing...

  • this is so beautifully written

  • @rhombusskullvsteal

    beautifully said. :)

  • Thank you Fleet Foxes, you put sun in my life

  • sound like the old KOL

  • @foarks yessss

  • @michaelstojsavljevic

Wow, you are actually right! I never thought of that before :)

    More acoustic though.

  • Yes.

  • I don't understand how this has any dislikes. It's the perfect soundtrack for a road trip through the mountains. Or through anywhere for that matter...

  • I always imagine a old locomotive going through a desolate Mountain range with tons of mountains, untouched by civilization except for the railroad tracks. the last minute I imagine the train conductor, getting off the train, going for a drive in an old jalopy, driving off a cliff. He doesn't care that he's about to fall off a cliff, but he keeps on driving. Love the song

  • that is exactly what i was thinking, when i heard the song the first time!!

  • im listening to the whole album again, what can i say, i mean, does it really get any better than this

  • trees fall sound stays the same, the fox jump over the grass that sways gentley in the wind.

  • thanks for uploading the album (:

  • I want to fall in love...live in the mountains...have two kids, one name Jonathan and the other Evelyn... :)

  • Every time I get on my bicycle...I think of this song....my girlfreind (now wife) and I would cruise around the IU campus in the fall together. Long shadows at dusk, I'd look over and see her smile and the brisk chill of wind would leave my ears and the sound of leaves crunching and the freewheel clicking would combine into something wonderfully musical. This song takes me right back there every time........

  • These guys are awesome live!!! LOVE THEM!

  • I did a cover of this song with my feet! I love this song! It is amazing!

  • thumbs down to the people that disliked this song.

  • Found a new favorite song ;)

  • If you dig Fleet Foxes, check out my channel! I am an unsigned, indie songwriter and I am working on a concept album about a post-apocalyptic world. (sample lyric: "what outlasts? our plastics or our souls... spinning in the gyres of what we called the sea... was our human life just a f***ing tragedy?")

  • Heard this on SKINS!! Loved it :)

  • 13 people are in love with Justin Bieber.

  • 13 people are in love with Justin Bieber

  • @TommyChong5991 Shut the hell up dont bring that name here.

  • @joeyXDface I suppose I deserved that, but to be fair its probably true.

  • Okay honestly. This is annoying. Yes This isn't a band well known outside of the indie/folk scene. Yes, most people at my school won't know this song. Yes, it probably won't ever be on MTV. Why does that matter? Listen. Enjoy. Stop Bitching about how some mainstream artist has more views than Fleet Foxes. People that listen to mainstream music probably hate your taste in music, just as much as you hate theirs. There is no right or wrong in music, that's the beauty, so for the love of god stop it

  • what is this song on?

  • 13 people are stupid

  • @valeruiz1 how subtle lol..

  • @valeruiz1 perhaps 13 people have a different musical taste than yours.

  • Thank goodness a few artists understand that a song doesn't have to be limited to a cookie-cutter 2 or 3 minutes. Songs should be as long or short as an artist wants.

  • I ran through the forest!

  • 3:14 OH MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • When I go for a drive up the canyon, I can't not listen to these guys. Greatest ever. Second favorite? Yonder Mountain!

  • this song makes me want to live in the woods.

  • Tell me anything you want, any old lie will do!

  • Anyone else think of mountain goats and beards when you listen to Fleet Foxes?

  • Calllllll me back to...back to you (insert guitar riff that always makes me smile)

  • Who remembers this picture from year 7 history?

  • @AVRIL120 I remember this artist. I always liked this kind of Renaissance period artwork. It kind of looks like Bosch, but the mood is so happy. It's the coolest album cover ever in my opinion. Glad someone else made note of it.

  • @jbjindra It's by Pierter Brueg the elder, and it's called Netherlandish Proverbs, made in 1559. It's a painting of peasants enacting old sayings. A distressing number have to do with poop.

  • @Alloflifedecays That is awesome. The Dutch had some of my favorite art of all time. I'd like this painting in my house. Too bad I'm unemployed and paying for my gas with pocket change. Some day, right?

  • @jbjindra Someday? That painting is worth millions. Flemish Renaissance paintings are so rare and valuable.

  • or as long as a calm joint my friend

  • i remember listening to 'Mykonos' a year or two back and absolutely loving it, why has it taken me this long to listen to their other stuff?? theyre brilliant

  • This is what my feelings sound like.

    What about yours?

  • music for a funky folk elevator!!!

  • Comment removed

  • feel the good vibes flowing!

  • The first time I heard this song I was on a road trip driving through the Appalachian mountains with my best friend. It sorta made me feel like I was in a movie

  • I really like this song. I need to download it.....legally:)

  • Technically a song is usually only sound

    :D (trololololololol...)

  • this song is just good vibes

  • this is better than band of horses, alot better

  • This would be my alarm clock when I live in a Hobbit Home in the mountains somewhere. I will slip on my sheep wool slippers and go outside and play in the snow with a friendly neighbourhood bear and have casual weed in a massive pipe all day long. And learn this on my ukelele. IT WILL BE GLORIOUS.

  • @birdofbrie ... I'm am in love with the life you just described. If more people thought as we do, there would be world peace. Goodness, I love pipe smoking, hobbits, and friendly bears!

  • @birdofbrie that was a beautiful godly description of an amazing life i salute you

  • One Kesha video has 50 million views on here and this exquisite work of art has less than 300,000. This is why I hate the public.

  • @helm8969 dont even worry about it man, people just aren't on the same level as us. If they get their kicks listening to a superficial broad singing about generic bullshit who are we to tell them they are wrong.

then again... they really dont know what they're missing

  • @helm8969 The needs of the many outweigh the need of the few. Too bad the world is stuffed with idiots.

  • @helm8969 you should embrace the fact that you are not the majority and you listen to real music instead of ketchup or whatever her name is.

  • @helm8969 Like you'd still like this band if they had that many views

  • @helm8969 don't worry, keisha will soon fall in a depression and she will be sad.

  • @jwul28

And she will be looking for music like this to cheer her up ^^

  • @TH3USUALSUSPECT nice reply, it conclude well the point.

  • This is perfect for how im feeling right now! :D

  • 11 people didn't lie to him at the top of Barringer Hill.

  • This is a band? I mistook them for GODS!

  • i only need this album, a log cabin, and some green.

this is how i will live for the rest of my life

  • @charleeinwonderland heard that! but what are ya gon play the album on? lol

  • @charleeinwonderland this might very well be the greatest thing a human has ever written.

  • @charleeinwonderland basically how I felt first hearing it. also need some hunting equipment and firewood, maybe kool-aid :)

  • @rhombusskullvsteal oh, well kool-aid is allways implied ;P

  • @charleeinwonderland green koolaid, a pitcher with every ounce of weed is imperative I would contend. like the way the black guys sell it.

  • Reminds me of that magical time when the snow starts to melt after 6 months of winter and the sweet smell of dead leaves, grass, and moisture fills the air again. I listened to this last spring all the time before my car got broken into and lost all my cds. I LOVE the artwork on the cover. Which artist is that? It looks like something from the renaissance.

  • @jbjindra The artist is Pieter Bruegel the Elder. There's a decent write up of why Fleet Foxes chose it on Wikipedia, and there's also a page on the artist. If you like that kind of art, you'd probably find stuff by Heironymus Bosch interesting, too. I think one artist influenced the other—probably the latter influenced the former. But I agree, the artwork is great for an album cover.

  • I listen to Fleet foxes and it reminds me of when I had the time to go to a book story and read for hours on end. The smell of book and coffee mixed together! I charesh this memory! May seem strange to some but i LOVE IT! haha

  • this is amazing and very unique. ive never heard a band with this sound before, and there vocal harmonies are outa this world

  • Just been showed this song and band, bloody amazing!

  • "tell me anything you want. any old lie will do." the story of my godforsaken life.

  • This song makes me want to grow a really big beard. No shaving for a year, just beard. A year beard. A Yeard.

  • @williamjesnider

lol too funny smiles ;o )

  • @williamjesnider You sir. Are awesome with your comment. You sir. Get the comment award. For best youtube comment of the yeard. lol

  • @Rivaleka ... Thank you. Big and Bushy Beard Brotha.

  • @williamjesnider I too will grow a Yeard! Then I'll take my Banjo up to the Smokey mountains and make my own cabin out of wood I chop down with a pocket knife and subsequently sand with my bad ass Yeard.

  • @YimYamesPlease ... and a new religion begins. All hail the Yeard.

  • @williamjesnider lolololololol narf!

  • @williamjesnider Well - it's the new year. have you started it?

  • @williamjesnider Legendary.

  • @williamjesnider Give it 3 months, I will be back to ask you how your Yeard's going.

  • @williamjesnider best.

  • @williamjesnider how is that yeard going? :P

  • @williamjesnider A yeard...

    Me gusta.

  • @williamjesnider Hows your Yeard going?

  • Every time i hear this song i want to go on a road trip and wind up and down the mountains. and since i listen to this song at least three times a day it seems, I've been itching for this mountainous roadtrip :)

Oh, and He is Risen. Haha

  • hey! this sounds just like the fleet foxes...mmmmm..why do i write these inane comments, i just know some hillbilly hick is going to tell me why i think it sounds like them. i wrote the other day that why do 1970's bands rip off modern rap stars from the 21st century and 2 different people commented back all hot and bothered that "actually it's the other way round, the 2010 rappers ripped off the 70's bands" do u think people only read the first few words of a comment or r just plain dumb arses?

  • @bryngOneOn

    uhhh it is Fleet Foxes

  • Who knew? The Bible never said anything about Jesus coming back in the form of a band.

  • SKIIIIINS

  • this beautiful song is just about as long as a calm cigarette

  • @aaronrazz

it's only a quarter as long as an average spliff !

  • @aaronrazz Noo.... it's as calm as marijuana.

  • @aaronrazz or a nice bowl of chronic.

  • @hollywoodburk36 Or 3 hits of acid, a bong rip, and 2 lines of heroin.

  • @aaronrazz that....is beautiful.

  • every time i listen to this song first thing in the morning. it lets me know im going to have a good day

  • I'm packing up my stuff and moving to Appalachain, just because of this song haha

  • @AAnneC well he`s my ugly cousin, how about me?

  • @NMSIS1982 hahaha nice!

  • My god! theyre good lol

  • I first heard this song, (and only the first 20 seconds of it) as bumper music leading into a talk show on the radio. I thought it was very interesting... it actually sounds very old fashioned to me. Like country music from the late 50's early 60's. Quite bubbly and the echo reminds me of Spector's Wall of Sound.

Anyway, just an observation... I was surprised to find they're the "next big thing".

    They sound so... happy! :-)

  • This is fucking pure genuis my friend right here...

  • I need a beard god damnit..

  • The lead singer is how jesus was; Beautiful, a lustrously bearded, deliciously voiced!

  • I play this in my car on sunny days and I speed.

  • @ShareYourUnderwear roof down, country lanes...

  • @Ariesbetch Exactly.

  • Like being chased by a pack of wolves and finding sanctuary in a warm cave, Fleet Foxes just make everything sound so emotive and spiritual without being preachy and convoluted. In short, ahhhhh bliss

  • you must have taken the lyrics seriously, "tell me anything you want, any old lie will do"

  • I need to go up to Appalachain while listening to this song

  • @SlightlyMadNyx13 I am going to be backpacking on the Appalachian Trail from Connecticut to Vermont in a few weeks and I am definitely loading this CD on my mp3 player - SOOOO GOOD!!!

  • wow i just bought the album and it makes me want to peacefully live in alaska haha

  • only sound ? dont care this sound funny.

  • @DiVeronica I think you just don't like it, because it certainly doesn't draw liquid by the action of the mouth and tongue.

  • @DiVeronica You're mental.

  • what does "only sound" mean

  • @rangu66 It means that it is not a music video :) Just the song.

  • @rangu66 No video, just the song and a picture.

  • Love this song! Makes me want to run through some forest with elves like Legolas!

  • Much better than anything else <3

  • this band is so awesome. and this song is my favorite

  • i love this band and i really wanna make music like this but i also wanna do metal music its hard

  • @DrumScreamHeadbang Its such a hard decision making music when you love so many sorts of genres all at once. Its those people that really appreciate music and not just listen to one genre and be close-minded.I have the same problem cause after hearing Fleet Foxes I want to make a song or 2 in this format. Its so warming to the spirit to listen to this song and Blue Ridge Mountain.

  • @DrumScreamHeadbang Mothr Nature is were we should be living! Make mountain songs! we should be Free like the rivers and mountains!

  • Are they saying

"Lie TO ME if you will...." OR

"Lie WITH ME if you will.." ???

    Quite a big difference

  • "Lie to me if you will"...at the top of Beringer hill

  • lie to me if you will

  • Comment removed

  • wow, figures the girl i like has the last name berringer and this song is talking about lying at the top of berringer hill. thats crazy.

  • Come down from the mountain, you have been gone too long

The spring is upon us, follow my only song

Settle down with me by the fire of my yearning

You should come back home, back on your own now

The world is alive now, in and outside our home

  • You run through the forest, settle before the sun Darling, I can barely remember you beside me You should come back home, back on your own now And even in the light, when the woman of the woods came by To give to you the word of the old man In the morning tide when the sparrow and the seagull fly And Johnathan and Evelyn get tired Lie to me if you will at the top of Beringer Hill Tell me anything you want, any old lie will do Call me back to you Back to you
  • instaboner!

  • just discovered these guys myself. Totally diggin' the FF!
