Well he put up good numbers running behind one of the worst O-Line's in the NFL. Good runningback who reminds me of Ricky Watters. He's versitle and he can make you miss.
kevin is the best RB comming out the 08 nfl draft he was 6 0r 2,3 yards away of breaking barry sanders rushing yards in collage he hadover 2,500 yards one season one year one man wat more can u aks for hes a beast he will have the best solid carrer out of the draft i cant wate to he takes his first snap for the lions hes amazing..i didnt for get Mc fadden but look wat smith did this season he sould of been draft way higher than he was but fell right in to the lions hands in the third round..
U cant Compare him to Barry Sanders. Sanders record should be a few hundred yards better, but back then they did not count all the games to the stats. If they did Smith Would not have come close. Smith is a good back. I'm intrested in how he is going to do.
If this man was at USC, Texas, LSU or some other big program, he has Top 5 pick all over him. I really think Chicago should have took him over Forte, and hate to say it, but Steelers should have got him instead of MEndenhall....
definatly a beast.... 2600 yards rushing... he would have had 1600-1800 easy in any sec or big ten school... 6-1 217 and is a gym rat and can cut on a dime has 4.4 speed and great vision... 24k all day baby
hey samg u are a moron... he had 2600 yards... how many carries did u think he did it on 100??? dipshit so what he had 450 carries its still over 5.5 ypc so what the hell are you talkin about... it just shows how durable and tough he was to be able to take all them carries and not miss one game... idiots
and he makes his cuts on a dime, if you watched him play. his only downside is that he didnt go to a top notch school. or else he would be a first rounder.
bull shit.. you must have had many attempts too.. i just looked on espn at his stats.. i am no longer even a little bit impressed with kevin smith.. in 2007 he had 450 attempts.. no wonder he got 2000 yards.. sorry im not impressed anymore.
the guy runs a 4.44 40, he is a productive runner on a team with a weak O-line. (although comp may be sub par, he was still successful against TEXAS.) the fact that he ran the ball 450 times shows that he can be a workhorse, which is a positive, cuz it shows hes not soft. he explodes when he hits his gaps, and he plays the game with passion. hes talented, and if lions get the O-line solid, kevin will be successful. i think it would have been better to keep kevin jones. but both are talented.

well he didnt so well against state thats all that matters haha just messin. but he is a good back but still not the best.. hell jerious norwood ran faster than him.. o yea and sube34 actually i run a 4.49 thanks. that was a dumb comment at the end... i dont play college football dumbass. btw kevin's name would be 2.4K not 24K thats 24,000 yards.... impossible for a running back in the NCAA.

Kevin Smith flew under everyones radar in the draft. The Detroit Lions organization should be doing a backflip knowing they landed him.

and their are alot of guys that get alot of carries, but dont put up nearly what he put up, he averaged like 5 or 6 yards per carry. very impressive.

24K is from his number(24), his name(K-evin), and the gold uniforms of UCF, thus twenty-four karat gold.....not 24,000 rushing yards....obviously.

He is slow as shit, he runs like a 4.5+
uexpkiller 3 years ago
So did Chad Johnson. Some people dont have the right 40yard technique.

Your mama runs a 4.5+ Ha Ha
Seriously though, he ran a 4.4 at Pro Day and had the second fastest time at the combine in the 3-cone drill.
eeknight 3 years ago
40 yard dash doesnt mean shit, hes a smart running back who finds holes in the defence
matt141989 3 years ago 3
ran a 4.4 at his proday

To rush for 2.4k you have to have some kinda speed.
