  • did anyone else notice he says i'll be back "december" and bobby sherman says "november" hahaha i think thats a sign i've listened to this song way too much.

  • @nvchcr

The lyric in Sherman's version is "...I'll be back September..."

I, too have listened 'WAY too much.

  • A great blast from the past. Excellent. Many thanks to you and to Annie who shared.☺♥

  • @weeyin1155 Can't beat the 60s and 70s stuff, right Jan?

  • The beauty of it is Annie, they take you right back in time. ☺♥

  • Ahh, fond memories of the early 70s here. Thanks for uploading, 45rpm!

  • I'm Julie too and LOVED this song. Great memories.

  • Julie Do Ya Love Me was Sherman's sole excursion in the UK Singles Chart, where it peaked at #28 in November 1970. The song competed there for chart space with White Plains' cover version, which eventually placed higher at #8.

  • Was it originally theirs or Sherman's?

  • @N8908E Bobby Sherman's Was !st & Much Better!

  • @ThePaddyjoejr1 Bobby Sherman was comfortable doing records like this. They look (and sound) as if they'd rather be hiding in the broom closet, planning their next careers.

  • Tony is not on those record covers?

  • wrote song because broke up from gfriend, offered me a job drive to scotland they lived in carpenders park near watford uk

  • I got Tony Burrows singing this and it is awesome, I will upload it in a few days. xxxx

  • Great sounds from this era, Robbie Legatt who was one of the busiest session singers at that time and who worked on a lot of this stuff was also in CONSORTIUM, hear him on the REBIRTH and 13th HOUR albums by CONSORTIUM. Brilliant.

  • Great song. I like the Moone Brothers version too.

  • Why won't this play all the way through? Such happy memories of growing up as a 'Julie' !!

  • @ellamou1 Happy mammaries throwing up what?

  • will always remember you Julie x.

  • always one to remember.

  • great cover of bobby sherman's song!

  • Julie Julie Julie do ya luv me

  • Which came first, Bobby Sherman's or this one? I like both, but I am curious ;-]

  • Bobby Sherman had the original though this one sounds so damned close!

  • Indeed it does, but thank you for the info ;-]

  • Well wat can I say ! I am Julie and yrs ago this was the song that my first love sang to me!. But many yrs l8r he has gone and I hav moved on but it still has happy memories!Grt song!Love it still!

  • This sounds exactly like the original by Bobby Sherman.

  • It sure is even down to the brass section and arrangement. The superior vocals by Bobby Sherman wins it for me

  • I sing this to my 2 year old daughter and change the name to Szofi and she sings it back. My brother bought this record at the time in 1970? He is 2 years older. I asked if I could have it and his old Slade, DiscoTex and the Sexolets plus other records few weeks back and he said he had thrown them all away the week before!! Gutted - London

  • Great to here this again reminds me of Tony blackburn on radio one 7m -9am

  • i like this song...my name is julie but the weird thing is that my teacher used to sing this to me..... creepiest thing ever...

  • sounds like you had a lucky escape there, girl!

  • Great song. Have not heard it in ages. Thanks for posting.
