I had a rsv and had no oil leaks. it was the best bike I've ever had. and I've had loads. i currently have a sp1 but the rsv was a better bike for the road.
i found a 2000 rsv mille and did some research on them and i found out a bunch of common oil leak issues? how common are these? i really want the bike but i dont want to buy it and constantly be working on it. so just want to ask someone that owned one if theyd recommend it?
@daporkchop..Yeah! Someone broke into the tail of the bike a couple years ago so i needed to buy a used lockset, so one key was for the ignition and the other was for the gascap and tail lock....i thought someone would notice! lol!
I hope the new owner is enjoying her, I miss her very much :(
Great looking bike mate. If it were mine the only thing I'd do to it would be a white number board on the front end to match the one on the seat unit.
This is one of my most favorite RSVs on the AF1 forum. Great job cutting down those Arrows.. I can't stand how long some of the shotgun setups are. Just looks silly.
@bump909 They are for reason that long. V2 needs volume in the cans for optimal power. These cans were engineered in cooperation with Aprilia. So there are nearly no better ones for this bike. Everything in this full exhaust system fits to this engine. It is the same like the Aprilia Titanium SP and were driven in the SBK on the first RSV SP. So.. with cutting down you cut as well power a bit ;)
NO! You will certainly crash it, everything works too well for a beginner. Unlike a bicycle where a better one always works better, on a motorcycle witha new rider it is just the opposite. The better everything works, the harder it is for you to learn and you will most likely crash because something will happen very quickly.
@stepseldinski Informative comment! Thanks!

I am starting to think you never ride this bike???? It is always in your driveway on a stand. Come on over to Texas and we will get the Go Pro on it.

will you recomend this bike for a begginer?
werewolf666beast 2 years ago
NO.
Try a Ninja 250, 650, or <2001 600cc (cbr, r6, gsxr, zx-6)
newengland72 2 years ago
Like new england says try a smaller bike. IMO the SV650 is a brilliant first "big bike!!!".
Take care.

Very sharp. You've kept it in fantastic shape for it's age.
