@cyberjackcyberjack Happens in the best of families. My knives cut like a mother in law's tongue, they don't ask permission and they don't beg forgiveness.
@survivalmike My hat is a Brazilian tarp hat. They are made from old truck tarp canvas. I know you can buy then in the US from Real Deal Brazil, but I have no idea where you would find them in Austria.
@winnipegdiver In dry season when this video was shot we have to haul all of our water in a few km to that location. That camp is a place that only we use, we literally carved it out of the jungle as a training site. When we leave all of our extra water is placed in a cache and we haul the empties out.
Very interesting stuff. I did a quick google search and found out that Candeia essential oil contains a very high percentage of Bisabolol. Bisabolol is well known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties and is used in many cosmetic formulas.
@DualSurvival That's why Candeia is illegally logged out of wilderness areas here. I only use dead Candeia for fuel. Brushfires kill them and since they are filled with oil they rot very slowly so it is common to find dead standing Candeia.
so, what if you only got hard wood around which you can't scrape like that..
Reallush 4 months ago
@Reallush That was Candeia a very hard wood, actually the softer woods make poorer shavings.

qual é essa madeira

@orlog12 Candeia. Candeia morta fique em pé muitos anos e é muito bom para ascender fogo. Tem cheiro mal como quejo ou cachrro molhado.

I like the back of the blade technique. I'll have to try it on some north american wood types to see what works best.

Great video. That is very useful wood. Is there anything in the US, specifically the south, that has those same qualities?
