I think the important thing to remember is that once artistic form has been held to a universal standard it kind of detracts from the fun of it. I thought it was cool when he picked the violin strings, you might have disliked it, I also like the version on the official music video. That was actually my favorite part of the performance. I'm kind of a sucker for violin solos in any song, but I thought it was creative and interesting to make the performance different from the studio version. Its your opinion and I get that but I'm not sure it was worth posting a video about it...at least I can use this video to go straight to the strings solo from now on.

I think this vesion of the song sounds better than the studio version. if you dont like the violin picking thats cool, but i wouldnt go saying it ruined the perfomance. i think its a nice ending to the song.

I'm going to point out why your wrong...
1. It's actually a pretty awesome part of this song.
2. If you look, the girl on the second violin she is also plucking in time with him which probably means that...
3. It was most likely written out, probably by Chris Taylor. If you look at the full video, you can see him nodding to the strings at different points, possibly giving them cues.
4. These professional session musicians. They are paid to play the sheet music.

That was actually my favorite part of the performance. I'm kind of a sucker for violin solos in any song, but I thought it was creative and interesting to make the performance different from the studio version. Its your opinion and I get that but I'm not sure it was worth posting a video about it...at least I can use this video to go straight to the strings solo from now on.

"pluck bro" did a magnificent job as far as i am concerned. The song sounds similar on the cd but not exactly the same which is always ideal when playing live, to change it up a bit. You are an ignorant asshole. The rest of the audience loved it.

I agree that the strings truly make this performance all the better and that it does SOUND better than the studio recording. However, I kind of have to agree with the OP here. I understand people get into music but the guy here seems to be seriously over-embellishing. It's one thing to sway a bit with the music, but (to me at least), he seems to be having a seizure while playing. So yes, him doing this does ruin it a bit. For me at least.
