Ive outrun many BMWs in my 94 Vette... poeple were I live that drive BMWs are either prick douchebags or little rich bitch daddys boys (and girls) .... and they all think their beamer is something...not saying I hate BMWs but sorry a BMW is luxury... A 1994 LT1 Six speed Corvette always gets the prize around here...

    Also- please buy your brother a real set of wheels. The ones he has mounted would look tacky even on a trailer hauling a monster truck Vega. I am fond of the stock C5 wheels painted semi-flat black.

  • being a 95 6 speed vette owner I can tell the 2000 M3 is a badass but i still beat them. in my case, they come on strong but fall at about 130mph.

  • "Look" I don't know exactly what year they were but I know an M3 when I see one. Not to mention the cars I raced were really quick & clearly not older models. I think if we did a 0 to 60 run he would have taken me to 60 & maybe even down the 1/4 but after that the LT1 vette pulls ahead very hard.. BTW this vette is an L98 and is considerably slower than a 92-95 LT1 and even more so the 96 LT4 (which would definitely own the M3 even down the 1/4 & beyond).

  • You're a idiot. They make a 2000 M3... M3's are easy to beat. A 2000 model is probably mid 14 seconds, while a stock c4 is low 14s.

  • Actually it's called a mistake you stupid fuck. And you're wrong. My dads automatic got a 14.1 stock, that was a 1988. The C4 is a 13 second car with a manual transmission, maybe even a 13 with an automatic LT1. The 1988 only has a L98.

You're driving the car for the fucking drive, not to admire the seats made from dead whales or whatever the fuck exotic bullshit you rich people come up with next to show your status off. Ferrari makes great cars, but I love the Corvette because it is awesome and I don't give a shit if the interior is made from silk. That's like the only complaint people can come up with. Who cares.

  • Generally speaking, IMHO C4 and above vette interiors look nice, particularly if you pick up a 90 or above and know how to pick your colors. However, (and this is just me) I must admit that the shit brown or retina splitting red interiors look like WTF!, unless the cars black, dark blue or maybe yellow, (some people seem to love it on anything). Anyway all am trying to say is That the red is scary to me but not on all vetts.

I have been in euro cars like audi, mercedes,bmw's what ever. not any more impressed than what my chevy can give me. not only that my bro mercedes front light lens keeps fallen off (3 times) and my buddys bmw grill pulled of in my hands, so shut it! I think the instrument controlls in eruo cars is retarded. ugly dial and buttons. also the window controlls are put in stupid center postions.

  • 03 540i and the corvette is an 86, 10.5 to 1 compression, with ported heads and intake with a small cam and no cat or mufflers, just has pre cats, so the exhaust cost me nothing!

  • @Artuir82 depends whats fast to you my stock 93 did a 1/4 in 13.8 @ 102 thats faster than most stock mustang (svt and shelby ect run faster) but i have yet to find a stock gt that could take my vette yeah im slower than the new ls1 cars but im not slow either

    Nice examples genius...modded that C4 could beat both of those cars...modded anything can be fast.

  • The Corvette in this video definitely would be able to hang with the M6, the M6 is a mid 12 second car depending on the driver.

    If the Corvette is the Grand Sport or ZR1 edition and has some other mods it's easily a mid- to low 12 second car. Even the regular C4 with sufficient mods can handle the M6- the M6 being a 100k car.

    If you want to talk contemporary Corvettes the C6 Z06 straight spanks the M6 in the 1/4 and around the track.

  • Funny how you avoided my comment about the C6 Z06, let me reemphasize: it beats the pants off the M6 in the 1/4 mile and around the track for at least 20k less.

    The ZR1 and Grand Sport are older cars, much less expensive than your M6- for their day they handled very well. The Corvette has typically dominated it's price range, it often has to be compared to more expensive cars for the comparison to be fair.

    You're welcome to not "think 1/4 mile is racing", that's your opinion lame as it is.

  • 1) the Zo6 scores higher on the skid pad-lateral G test than the M6 and it runs the slalom faster. at Nurburgring--> M6=8:07 and C6 Z06=7:43, isn't the nurburgring in Germany?

    2) than the cost for Europeans is the same for the Z06, that's okay they're paying the same for less car.

    2) point is domestic muscle/sports cars provide more bang for buck, i.e. you get more for your money. exotics are typically for people with way too much money, that need the extra "flair" to get women-hardly any of them can drive their over-priced vehicles.

    3) Domestic>exotic/european whatever, that's my preference and it won't change.

    I won't argue about preference that's moot but I will argue performance.

  • You are right. Muscle cars have atention only at the engine. Their interior is very cheap. Exotics have atention in interior and also in engine, but they arent built to sprint. But there are exotics, that they will smoke out muscles like nothing, doing 100 km/h in only 2 seconds ... and now Im asking you. Are we arguing about price, or performance?

  • You have to pay to play, suspension and engine work aren't cheap, even if you do it yourself. If domestics were to cost as much as exotics the all around performance would increase (engine, suspension etc). Plus you're an idiot if you think muscle cars only have attention to the engine. You think you can launch well on engine alone? WRONG, you need good tire and suspension- there are many modified domestic vehicles that rival and exceed the all round performance of exotics while spending less.

  • Which Viper are you talking about? The SRT10 scores a .99-1.00 on the skid pad. If that's crappy then you had better junk some of your overpriced exotics because they score about the same or less.

    Again you compare interior on cars that aren't even close the same price range. Of course you're going to get better interior in a 120k+ car than in a 70k car but that 70k will perform up if not out perform the more expensive car (in the case of the C6 Z06 vs the Ferrari F430).

  • That's fine be done. You're the idiot that brought up interior in a performance conversation. You don't have to believe me that the C6 Z06 will out handle the Ferrari F430 or the Porsche 911 Turbo and GT2 but at least do some research. Car and Driver/Motor Trend/Road and Track have done several comparos.

    Plus the regular C6 Corvette is always in comparos with more expensive cars because there's no comparable performance car in it's price range. Argue if you want but argue facts not opinion.

  • Just because the veyron cost a million to buy doesn't mean anything. The entire reason that car was built was as an engineering exercize - they wanted to have a pleasant road going car hit 250+ mph. They did it. It wasn't designed purely for handling, or purely for nurburgring lap times. It was designed to hit 250. That's it.

  • i dont think thats a ZR1 im pretty sure its a tune-port year probibly between 85-91 but not a ZR1. The Zr1 has a distict rear fascia. That corvette with a tune-port with mods will probibly smoke a ZR1. I have a 88 vette with several bolt ons like runners 1.6 rockers full exhuast and other goodies and its making hella lot of power and a sick amount of tourqe and since its a convertible it has the aluminum heads and other goodies

    a ZR1 has 4 cams and a bunch of other stuff that the aftermarket virtual has no market 4
