  • 22:47 What about acid damage when that battery rides too long in your kit? You check it regularly?

  • pretty sad that I take better notes on nutnfancy vids than for my college courses lol

  • He's got the whole pharmacy in there except the bloody TILL!!!!!1!

  • I have in my kit a sam splint,There less then 20 bucks and can immobilize many areas of broken bones,I also have a staple sutcher ,I'm sure it would hurt like hell if i had to use it but there small and light weight ,REI has them ,search Sam splint and they also have smaller sizes so you dont have to waste a bigger one

  • Awesome video series, you gave me some great ideas for my kit. Just one suggestion; instead of putting the activation date of an item you should put its actual expiration date (if applicable). It's nice to have various meds/etc in your kit but if the the item is expired/very old it may be useless/non-functioning, in some cases, and just taking up valuable kit space.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us via these educational videos!

  • Hey maybe I overlooked it, but do you carry med gloves with your kits? Also the hand and toe warmers make GREAT additions to those kits! They are thin and lightweight and help fight off hypothermia. I love that kit though, you have SOOO many capabilities with that thing!! And my streamlight stylus has a problem cutting on too, but mine is in the switch! Thanks for sharing man, be safe out there!!!!

  • YES! SUPER GLUE! I love that stuff, especially for those little cuts on the hands that bandaids just refuse to stay stuck over.

  • You might want to get a flat plastic thermometer . light, flexible and hard to break- also cheap. I make my own re-hydration powder (recipes on the web; salt, sugar, baking soda & a bit of crystal light... improves the flavor). Plastic vials can be found at 'The Container Store'. MUCH cheaper than buying pre-made.

  • "Thank you McDonalds". Extremely funny.

  • as long as the antibiocits are kept in a cool area they can last between six and 12 months after the expiry date i know what ia ma on abut because i am a doctor.

  • Ive found that super pro scissors are probably some of the best scissors I've ever used. They slice though anything like butter. Downside is they are kinda pricey and big. I keep a pair in my athletic training kit and they have lasted me a lifetime. Figured you can give them a look. Btw medco-athletics (dot) com and alertservices (dot) com are some good sites for supplies.

  • I was a paramedic for 10 years using regular scissors in your kit is not good. You could end up hurting someone with the sharp ends. You can buy high quality German made bandage scissors that cut like razors and last for years.

  • It seems you've had some rubbish EMT scissors, but rather than the sewing scissors in a level 2 kit, especially in a car, I would get something like the Robin Safety Boy rescue shears (Kretzer) or Spencer Heavy Duty Rescue Shears. These are really expensive, but they're stronger than your plastic Fiskars scissors, and they are also made to break glass with.

  • lol macdonald :D

  • WALMART HAS EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD

like i would say most of the stuff is from or can get at walmart xD

  • nice what came in it normaly

  • have you tried using a TRECK if you run into having to get off jeens and jackets?

  • Hey NutnFancy,

You may want to look at Harris Telecom cable scissors, they are small but very sharp and powerful cutters

    USAF46250

  • Another plus for the Advils or Ibuprofen is that it's also a mild anti-inflammatory. So great for those sprained ankles and such over Tylenol or Aspirin. Also to clarify, the biggest difference between medical grade and store bought super glue is the type alcohol used (butyl-esters vs. methyl) why..to lessen skin reactions and that's it. Both are equally usable as a surface SKIN adhesive, just NOT recommended for deep tissue and they are equally sterile too because of the alcohols in them.

  • @kwakman99 ibuprofen AND aspirin are both NSAIDs - antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and pain releivers.

Acetomenaphine is a great antipyretic (strongest available over the counter IMO) and pain killer but screws your liver, not an anti-inflammatory.

  • @mike1234567ify - True, but the risk with aspirin is that it's also a blood thinner or anti-coagulant which is not ideal if the patient being treated has an open wound. Each (Ibuprofen, acetaminophen and aspirin) are all good medications to have in a FAK, people just really have to understand each of them as many people associate them as simple interchangeable pain killers which is not the case and administering the wrong med in an emergency could make things worse.

  • @kwakman99 both inhibit prostaglandin(PG) activity. NSAIDs target specific AND overlapping pathways. Ibuprofen works to inhibit the PGE2, where Aspirin inhibits PGI2 pathway. In general PGE2 concerns headaches/vasodilation, PGI2- thromboxane/platelet aggregation...becuase the effects of aspirin on COX through the coagulation cascade is IRREVERSIBLE. Ibuprofen WILL enact a strong anti-platelet activity for 24+ hrs, can't be taken before surgery. Both should not be taken w/ eachother.

  • @kwakman99 ... anti-inflammatory = blood thinner in laymens terms. Tylenol is a very weak anti-inflammatory compared to NSAIDs, good for pain after surgery/severe bleeding. Ibuprofen should NOT be used in those scenarios unless your M.D. says it is okay

  • My mothers a nurse she gets great shears i have a set and damn is all i can say i have cut a penny in half with them

  • @Pennsylvania1Airsoft - Any info on the brand or where to buy would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • the CPR shield is good for "rescue breathing"

If you need to actually do CPR, just do the compressions. Stopping to give breaths will only reduce the thoracic pressure built up in the chest (and reduce perfusion pressure in the brain, etc) So just pump that chest hard and fast, and the air will go in and out by itself! (no need to get chunks spewed in your mouth!)

  • I agree that most "EMT shears" suck.

I've been a Paramedic for approx 25 years, and I can tell you:

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS buy Made in Germany shears or something of that quality.

(Pakistan, China, etc are junk, like most things made there, we all know this, right?)

  • in regards to the Krazy Glue/Loctite glue for skin closure. You could find a "medical grade" type of skin closure: like Mastisol. good for size/weight/space issues, downside is it could get expensive as cost can run $134 per box (metromedicalonlinedotcom). or a cheaper alt. with the It Stays 2oz roll on btl (drugstoresupplydotcom), downside is the size/weight/space issues that it poses being a 2oz. btl. Also depends on availability via being a non Med. Facility if they'll allow shipping to ya.

  • The Advil and Aleve helps out extremely well, especially in the gelcap/liquid form. goes quick to the pain to lessen it. plus it's a little easier on the stomach and as far as chemical wise in contrast to Tylenol which if taken too much can affect the Liver, so if you have to give the pain reliever to them for an exended period of time then it'll be safer for the injured person until they can be Tx'd to better medical treatment.

  • A suggestion I have is instead of carrying Cotton Balls, carry cotton rounds. U know the ones that are used for makeup. They are so much more compact.

  • just a word of caution if you dont already know "krazy" glue brand is a no no for closing wounds. It has type of acid in it that can case other medical problems on the local wound. "loctite" brand is what i use in my kits, its also what surgeons use its just under a different brand name. Again thanks for all the vids, i base my tactical purchases on you. FMFmedic

  • Strappel tape, you know the white tape climbers use. always handy to have a roll or two. Great video.

  • It's scary how few views this video has! Lot of sheep out there.

  • I like the pen light. It works great for close up wound search and it has attachable ear, eye, nose and throat examiner.

  • Thought the scar on your hand was interesting, cause I have an identical match. I too liked watching the stiches but prior to that I got to see a tendon and bone. I also have to agree with some of the other comments about the prescription meds, get rid of them. They could cause some severe legal problems.

  • You need to add antibiotics.....Look into anti Microbiotics....Colloidal Silver

  • lol Nutn, "Or uh... *cough cough cough* anal, if you desire..." Crack me up!

  • I'd 2nd the aspirin for possible heart attack. Amyl nitrate could be used to treat chest pain. I've also seen people claim viagra can prevent a pulmonary adema but this probably won't occur at the altitude's you hike at.

  • Something you might want to think about is putting non coated 81mg aspirin in your kit,if someone is having a heartatack they can chew the aspirin-9 out of 10 times it will work.Last thing you might want to think about is putting in your kit is benidrel incase someone is stung by bees or wasp, just break the capsul in half and put the powder on the patients tongue and with a glass of water.

Keep up the good work. You are very inspiring.

  • I can't find part three !!!

  • @TheHeartOfTheLion Its there...its just hidin from ya. I just checked for it and it is there. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy ohh yhea! I feel stupid now LOL! ... Thanks alot Veri. yall rock! ... I learn so much from your videos.

  • it would be a good idea to have some cheap pen lights just to check pupil reactivity.

  • "Tetracycline, is used to treat bacterial infections, including pneumonia and other respiratory tract infections; acne; infections of skin, genital and urinary systems; and the infection that causes stomach ulcers" great add for your Pharm. section. i just bought some online, 100 pills for $45, i believe.

  • ALLIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i would make sure its an alcohol thermometer not mercury which is toxic if broken, which based on your use could easily be

  • Fiskars also makes a take-apart shears, part #9474, which are also available with a blunt tip. A lot of EMT's use them after they break the stamped EMT shears.

  • I love those scissors but I actually was just using a similar pair today and snapped the plastic handle with a pretty average cutting job. I'd like to find a similar pair with a stronger style handle though.

  • Good series! I agree with everything but the scissors. Not advocating medical sheers or anything but Ive had bad experiences with the "standard type" scissors like you have in your kit. The actual blades on the standard type scissors are ok but Ive had them separate on me so the scissors became useless but the biggest problem Ive come across (you might not encounter this since your using them for a medical application) is under force (not a lot) the cheezy plastic handle breaks. Just a thought!

  • Loperamide is a life saver. Nobody likes diarrhea.

  • I wish there was a succinct list of everything contained in your Level 2 First Aid Kit somewhere.

  • @Supermassively I am actually re-watching the vid and making an Excel spreadsheet with a column for the content and a column for the cost so I can start pricing mine.

  • @n006161 Awesome! Please let me know when you finish it.

  • @Supermassively Finished. Used WalMart, Amazon, and Google for pricing. I broke down the cost of buying items as a whole, and then how much of that cost for the kit. IE, Tylenol - $7.92 for 500 500mg. Use 25 in the kit, the kit cost is $0.40. To buy all the items in the kit came up to about $450. After breaking bulk items down [ie meds, alcohol wipes, etc] the cost of the kit is about $315. $100 of that comes from items such as the Rescue 5, Streamlight Pro, Bivvy bag, Blackhawk Medic Bag

  • @n006161 Wow, Nutnfancy must be a wealthy guy.

  • @Supermassively I wouldn't let the cost of the kit stop you from starting your own. Something is better than nothing. Keep in mind that you also need to tailor your kit to your own needs. You can also buy some of the more expensive items once a month. In 5 - 6 months, you'll have a kicking first aid kit and will hardly notice the cost. A lot of this stuff, you should have around the house anyways.

  • Once I get my remora I shall begin putting my level one kit together. I hae lots if space for things to carry abd since I'm type one diabetic I always have to have my supples on me. Therefore I should have a level one for safe measures. Along with other things such as a multi tool and snacks

  • watched all the first aid videos they were extreamly helpful, but i just couldnt get over that song so catchy lol

  • hey for the pills you should probably put the dosage and how much is in one pills so no one overdoses

  • You know your stuff.

  • I think it's a shame that Band-Aid and Kleenex became the most commonly used word for bandage and tissue respectively.

  • In the heat I wouldn't carry gel capsules for any medicine. I love gel caps but they just aren't logical when your kit is outside or in a vehicle for a long period of time. I live in Arizona... haha it becomes reality when you forget your kit or bag in the car by accident. =)

  • For me it's the opposite; Advil doesn't work for me, Tylenol does.

  • With the salt packets, a physician told me that they won't work for rehydration due to the fact that it doesnt have the combination of sodium, potassium, and glucose - those 3 are needed to drive the mechanism in yuor body that rehydrates us with water.

  • gosh i just had my appendix taken out and i was getting percocet at home but i was perscribed half the pill and my dad and i didnt know and he gave me the whole pill and i felt so high and i hated it

  • on average, i learn one new word in each video by nutnfancy. and of course the pou and techniques that are covered. keep it up

  • I am a ex Canadian Military Medic. I once put back together a fellow soldiers leg back together with safety pins. I was out of sutures. It saved his life. But boy did he cures me while I did it. I had no pain killer with me...i was out of them. You are right. You do what you have to do!

  • @floridamedic2 Thanks I would still keep my RX meds for my use.

  • in guided hikes now i belive they give you gatorade when someone passes out apparently it works better than water and a salt cube but is still effective

  • Woo, I was about to comment on having a lightsource until I saw the penlight.

Anyway, the superglue, those are normal off the shelves superglue right? If applied, how do we get rid of it?

  • Japanese Shears are the best. They can cut through heavy gauge sheet metal but, they are expensive. They do come razor sharp however

  • if your taking kids (i know, not likley in proper wilderness, but i know some who would) it might be a good idea to have kids or weaker versons of some drugs.

  • Hey Nutn, just an idea for you, I carry poultry scissors in my "level 2" kit as well as a pair of fiskars. They just seem to do a little better job getting through thicker things (belts, leather boots etc.) Great video, Bro. Keep up the good work.

  • "Who wouldn't know those are cotton balls?" I don't know...someone might think it's your fake Santa Claus beard :P Extremely informative videos. Thanks very much for putting all the time and effort into offering your knowledge and experiences to the rest of us.

  • Wow...Salt,I would have never thought of that.

  • could have said rectal instaid of anal... lol

  • @acexprt LOL! probably should have too... -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • I love how hard core u are

  • I agree that a quality light is essential for general tasks, but the disposable penlights are what you want for checking pupil reactivity, which is an important diagnostic if you're trained. You don't want a bright light to shine directly into someone's eye, it's irritating to your patient and makes it harder to see the pupil reacting. I carry a disposable penlight and a brighter, general-purpose light.

  • Another warning with carrying the Percocet, or any other prescription drug for that matter: DO NOT travel with those, either on a plane or across borders, unless they are in their original container, prescribed to you, and the scrip is current. Even though they were legitimately prescribed to you, once you remove them from the original bottle or the scrip expires, they are treated as an illegal controlled substance and you can be charged. It sounds stupid, but it's true.

  • Comment removed

  • You people need to talk to a DOCTOR about the current DRUG LAWS. Because it does not matter who he is giving pills to he is not a doctor or pharmacist therefore NOT LEGAL TO DISPENSE FOR ANY REASON PER FDA AND FEDERAL LAW!

  • Comment removed

  • Pretty much any medication will work even with old age they will lose potency but were talking 20 years and even then it depends on the med. Uh it still depends on the antibiotic some last awhile others not so long. A good recommendation is regular elmers helps remove stinger wounds.

  • @armypenguin that is true only about a few like NSAIDS but quite a bit of narcotics due expire 6 months after dated. These can cause serious illness or a false since of security. Either way it is illegal to carry anything that is not an OTC without a prescription kept with the pill and if it is expired it is illegal still. But you are correct that many dont go bad.

  • I was more talking about antibiotics but idk that narcotics were so effected. Most of the time pain can be relieved using alternate methods but antibiotics are hard to reproduce. I know their are natural ones but for those to effectively work you need to eat lots of them before your injury then during your injury then continue eating after injury.

  • I agree with your view. Mainly we just need to be careful and realy know and understand the meds we are storing and what affects them and in what way. I like herbal remedies but for them to work you are correct. I practice herbal medicine routinely so it maintains levels in my system but would not be effective in most other people.

  • wow not an ego crazed 13 year old on youtube one of the few times i have seen someone who is so polite and intellegent. Thats good that you practce herbal medicine I wanted to get into it but I just don't have the time (high school, college, work, building plans, spending time on research and buying useful items, and shooting ofcourse). Have you ever looked into acupuncture? I have heard from a friend that it works quite well at relieving pain supposedly. For herbal pain relief u use mint?

  • @armypenguin I realy want to do acupunncture, I to have heard it is awesome for bad backs. I broke my back in 6 places and neck in 2. I have severe nerve pain because of such and I currently use a TENS unit to shock my nerves. It works but I realy want to try the elctro-acupuncture. mint is great to sooth nausea, cramps, and sore throats, but back pain unsure. I can give you alot of cheap herbal stuff you can do easily & regularly if you like to try it.

  • sure you can send that to me in the pm we got going back and forth.

  • @armypenguin I will put some stuff together tonight and send it to you.

  • @ FixedByDoc, seriously man, like fpstina said, that's for personal use only, and they're not stored together, so I don't see how he can contaminate the other pills. (BTW, tylenol is not an NSAID).

Wow, giving another adult an OTC med is illegal? Don't make me laugh, I'd like to see that one prosecuted. Show me the case law. I guess we'd better ban all first aid kits, cause even the store bought ones have OTC drugs in them.

  • @pfarnsworth84 I have seen people get into serious trouble for handing out meds that they are not certified to distribute. I am a licenced pharmacutical tech and know the law. plus he is also handing out nsaids and other non otc drugs which he has stated in other videos that he hands them out to people on the trail and has shown them in the same container. He is not legaly aloud to even carry them period without a medical license or current prescription located with the pill.

  • The only legal meds to hand out is benadril and tylenol look it up. Not any OTC is aloud to be handed out other than those.

  • Anecdotal evidence is unacceptable. Show me case law where someone was arrested and prosecuted for giving another consenting adult an advil or other non-restricted otc.

  • @pfarnsworth84 Look up the law. I am sure if you can comment on youtube then you can type in drug laws.

  • I have looked through the DEA's Controlled Substances Act, and Federal Trafficking Penalties, none of which pertain to non-prescription, non-scheduled drugs.

Common otc drugs are not considered controlled substances by the DEA (the gov't organization that enforces our drug laws).

  • If they ask for the OTC then yes but if you say YOU SHOULD TAKE THIS then you are prescribing and that is illegal. They can ask for it but it has to be OTC only nothing else. And that is all states.

  • Comment removed

  • There are state laws that prohibit the unlicensed practice of medicine, but this does not include First Aid, providing informal advice about a co-worker's cold, or a buddy asking you for some aspirin.

  • Doesn't matter if there hasn't been a case if some dip decides to take it then is allergic he or his family can sue you HARD.

  • What would be the best way to treat a big ass laceration out in the back-county? Would it be wise to have something like QUIK CLOT SPORT in your Kit?

  • @luci734 Quick clot works really good apply direct pressure arterial pressure and elevate wound above heart

  • awesome! thanks

  • the only reason i'm responding is for just general restatement. make sure to clean the wound common sense but just figure i would throw that in there.

  • @armypenguin It also kills the nerve tissue in the direct area of application and has been known to travel in system and kill nerve tissue in other areas. just so you know. It is for that reason my millitary med unit (I was an Army Combat Medic) was not allowed to use it.

  • you talking about tourniquet?

  • @FixedByDoc so whats best for cleaning a wound just sterile water?

  • Yes indeed on that Percocet. On a recent surgery they gave me some to deal with the pain. Didn't work very well. After a while I just cut myself off. It hurt more, yeah, but I kinda just dealt with it cuz I didn't like 'em.

They did work to a decent extent, though. Just not something I want to be putting in my body for that period of time and in those amounts.

  • They do make high quality emt shears you just have to do a little research to find them. Some of the ones I have found come with manufacturers warranties and sheaths.

  • the paramedic shears you showed in the begining of the videw i do not use those they break and fail to easily in me i better use medical scissors

  • 2 dehydration options as well, I use powdered gatoraid and chicken bullion cubes. Both are cheap, lightweight, small and easy to prepare.

  • Everytime I get a new pair of EMT shears, I put the hinge between a vice to tighten it up.

This way the shears cut better and last longer without bending.

    Really enjoy the vids!!

  • any meds in US must have original bottolle w/prescription or you will get arrested until the police figure out what it is thru a pharmacy tech. which i hold a licence for. also my brother is a cop. if you are not trained to perform minor surguries you shouldnt be cutting anybody for any reason and should stick with butterfly stickers instead of sutures if again you are not trained. you can be getting yourself in a lot of trouble if you use some of this on someone if not licensed/certified...

  • @ FixedByDoc, come on man, how many times has he made reference to this being for his own use, family, group, etc... he's not answering 911 ambulance calls, this is IN CASE, and i bet you would be very grateful if you had an accident and Nutnfancy came by with his supposedly "illegal kit" and helped you out. I don't think you're "getting" the concept of this video series...

  • @FixedByDoc HALL MONITOR!

  • @yoyoimhome YEP!

  • He also makes reference to handing out illegal meds to random hikers whom he does not know if the may be allergic or what they all ready have taken and any contraindications of the meds he is handing out. plus he is keeping the Narcotics mixed with the NSAID's. Thus cross contaminating meds that may have opposite effects. ie. uppers and downers ect...

  • @FixedByDoc The medications and percocet HE WOULD ONLY GIVE TO HIS FAMILY! HE SAID THAT LIKE 5 TIMES! I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES HE HAST TO EXPLAIN IT.

  • @yoyoimhome it doesnt matter who he gives it to it is against the law to give out medication to ANYONE RELATIVE OR NOT! If it is not prescribed to the person it is AGAINST THE LAW!. you are a child and a retard at that.

  • Comment removed

  • @yoyoimhome you are a retard ask your doctor.

  • @FixedByDoc I have asked my doctor you little bitch! That's real adult of you to say You can commit a painful suicide. Now everyone see's how much of a no life you are!!!!! I'm sure everyone agrees with me. Not talking to you anymore so don't bother replying. and if you do reply it means your more of a loser than even now i can really anticipate.

  • @yoyoimhome Your dad can be a paramedic but a combat medic out ranks a paramedic and they DO DISPENSE medications & perform minor surgeries & anything else necessary while deployed all of which I have done. I also am a certified pharm tech & a surgical tech & electro nuro tech & phlebotomy tech & a total of 46 lincenses & certifications in the medical field to include a graduate certificate from the Military Academy of Health & Sciences & another 1 in Health Education. Again U R A RETARD.

  • @yoyoimhome a parent can treat with in the home a juvenile such as you. But you can nnot give meds of any kind to anyone outside of your home and not to anyone but your child or spouse and only certain types. Tylenol and benadril are the only meds you can legaly give to others. cough medicine and such does not meet the FDA standards to be concidered a true medication. You are a 12yo little brat that should commit a painful suicide.

  • @FixedByDoc Wow dude now everyone see's how much of a little bitch you are. I'm not 12 years old. Goodbye no more talking to your white trash self. Bye!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • In addition he is handing out OLD meds that he has had for awhile. Which means he could be handing out bad medications that can do more harm than good.

  • @fpstina he has said that he does hand out NSAIDS and NARCS to random people on trail.

  • @fpstina it doesnt matter who he is giving it to family self or not if he doesnt have a current prescription it is illegal.

  • @fpstina Not to mention the legal issue of allowing someone to die due to shock, which, in some cases, may be prevented by a strong painkiller.

  • i heard if cut tin foil with scissor the scissor would get sharp

  • Enjoy your vids. I think you said you were PT LEO, if so be aware that possessing a narcotic or other Rx med NOT in the original container is a felony in parts of the U.S. As LEO you may get some slack, but the average citizen may not. Just FYI keep up the good work. I'm not LEO or an attorney, just a prepared doctor.

  • He knows, he is getting around to annotating it.

  • Hello Mr.Nutnfancy,

I have a suggestion for your sutures. You can practice sewing a wound on a orange or a lemon. Just make a shallow cut on a orange and try to suture the laceration. So give it a shot.

P.S. I love all of your videos and philosophy on all of your topics. Thank you for all of your dedicated time to youtube.

  • I agree 100% with your philosophy on EMT shears. i have a pair made in germany and they were $28.00 sheers. they in my perspectrive are absolutly phanominal, even for the price.

  • my dad has a pair of these shears very niv=ce high quality and they work really well he got them from the military so i would maybe try those

  • Percoset is oxycodone so id be careful

  • Hey Nutnfancy,

I just got some "skin glue" and really like it. You should check it out it weighs the about the same as the krazy glue (the same stuff you use). I've used super glue a ton of times and the found out about this stuff, and I really like it. You should check it out.

  • Little suggestion for antibiotics...

IF YOU CANNOT GET THEM ANYOTHER WAY.

    FISH penicilin...

Petco has 500 mg Fish penicillin...

ITS NO DIFFERENT THEN ANTIBIOTICS FOR HUMANS. It just has a buffer for the fish, its just corn starch... I take them when i need them when i dont have medical coverage...

  • Who else do you know that can spend 5 mins on the scissors alone...only Nutnfancy could get away with that. Great job man...big fan of your thoughtfulness, time, and hard work. Well done!!!

  • Agreed. Nutnfancy is doing us a hell of a favor by sharing his experiences and expertise.

    Thanks Nutnfancy! :)

  • I've seen shears cut through Kevlar motorcycle knee pads. I'd like to see any kind of scissors do that.

  • Dude, I love your sense of humor...lol

    Great video again, bro.

  • Get a gel/powder/salt mix instead of NaCl salt. You're missing out on VERY essential salts when you're only giving sodium based salts.

  • VERY true... antabiotics and any liquid medicines... you DO have to adhere to your exp. date, but in a WROL situation... it could absoloutely mean the difference between life and a long horrible painful death, also remember... in WROL situations, as I'm sure you've thought of... you may or may not have to raid some pharmacy's or ER's for newer or more effective RX drugs, dont hesitate to stretch those laws IF it is a life or death situation... go all out

  • do you think you will every do a wrol first aid reveiw

  • miller4546 could u suggest any website for the sutures??

  • dont put a rb in a pb

  • do not get antibiotis in cherry yuck

  • When you mention antibiotic, are there over the counter antibiotic? or do u use prescirption ?

  • where did u get ur suture kit from ?? if u made it can u tell me where u got all the things for it ??

    thanks shotgun452

  • online medical supply company, or ebay

  • Not sure why the EMT shears you got were bad, however if you order the Shears from Moore Medical, they are guaranteed to cut a penny or your money back. To the Individual who said they were Disposable, I don't know about you, but I don't pay $6 or more on a "Disposable" item (PS we used to run an Ambulance Service)! As for the chrome scissors you were showing, they were made for cutting Bandages only. However, there is nothing wrong with using sewing scissors, as long as they are sterile.

  • in my medical roll, i keep emt scissors and a pair of nail nippers in my kit, 4.5 and 6.5 inch, straight s/b dressing scissors. and a pair of curves met. ones as well.

  • nexcare are my absolute fav band aids the stretchy foam type material they are made of adheres really well ... and btw nutn by 5 years after expiration date those percocets wont work but i think they will still have the tylenol value to them

  • Re Scissors: Keep in mind that EMT shears as you show are designed as a "single use" (disposable) item. For durability / quality but with the same features (except for the serrated lower blade) you can use a "Lister" style bandage scissor, available in various sizes at many medical supply outlets

  • If you really want a useful "suturing kit", to be used by a qualified person, rather than just a bag with some sutures in it you should add: A needle driver (though your hemostat is better than nothing) a vial of xylocaine (not expired please), a 2cc syringe, and a 25ga needle for it. and some longer forceps than what you have there now
