At the core, it is a business, and oil and gas companies are wary to work together because power is so balanced. If you want an "official" source, go to UT-Austin for 5 years. If you want a more feasible source, talk to me privately (thats anyone too). I work in the industry, but my first duty is to ethics through Order of the Engineer and through my own personal values.
