I think the problem with Ronson and co. is that they focused on the kookier aspects and ignored the information that was staring them in the face. Perhaps this was by design. And it's easier to fall back on stereotypes than to actually open your mind and process info without bias.

I wish the military had gone just a step further and integrated more of Jim Channon's teachings into basic training and regular training for their people. So many soldiers these days get out of the military and don't know how to cope with the things they have seen and done in the regular world. I believe a little zen teaching would go a long way for them to reintigrate into society.

He's a little floaty. Some old guys are. 60 MINUTES EXPLAINED IT BEST IN A PROFILE THEY ONCE DID. He did scout out "new" things for the US Army like NUTRITION,RUNNING, WORKING OUT,MARTIAL ARTS,HEALING ETC.. He also influenced missions like the latest ships being redirected to help out in the current Haiti earthquake disaster.

Well, maybe the army is not full of dull minded robots, but it certainly is full of brainwashed men. Ancient warriors in China and Japan fought for their families and for their nation. American soldiers fight for the imperialistic monetary interests of corporations and banks. This is what will make the difference in the use of the metaphysical in the U. S. Army. It'll be hard for soldiers to focus their being to fight when they are unaware of what they are fighting for.

"Evolve" is such a misused word. Evolution only denotes an animal adapting traits to best suit their environment. It has nothing to do with becoming stronger or more intelligent. Humans have warred for thousands of years, we will never grow past it.

The idea of taping into the metaphysical as a combat multiplier is nothing new. All forms of martial arts incorporate different degrees of controlling energy. Ancient warriors from China, Japan and other countries have been practicing this for centuries. So the United States Army entering into this realm may suprise some but not people who have served. Contrary to the popular myth, the miltary is not comprised of dull minded robots, trust me nothing is farther from the truth.

If I had not met and befriended one of these guys back in 1981 I would never belief it myself. My old friend was an ex-Green Beret and he had mentioned training of this sort on a couple of occasions. This guy is great! I worked as a scientist for 11 years for US Government Agencies and what I saw, over and over, is that the guys who REALLY knew what was going on were not walking egos. They were smart, good communicators like this guy. I never would have guessed that there was ANY part of the ARMY this sharp. Impressive that this guy survived the "system" to get to Colonel rank. What a guy!
