  • I hate how some of these better ones don't work on XP

  • when i try to switch between workspaces with ctrl alt left or right it doesn't work. Any ideas. Also running ubungu 10.04

  • Do you happen to know the keyboard equivalent that does the same function as the scroll lock key for windows. Specially, I need to hit it twice to switch between two computers hooked to a kmv switch.

  • thanks, this helped me alot! =]

  • Thanks, this helped me install ubuntu because my mouse was'nt working for some reason and I used the keyboard to install xD

  • CTRL+L on shells/consoles usualy CLEARS the screen. - CTRL+D usualy "logs out" the recent shell/console. - CTRL+C cancels a running process/programm in a shell. - CTRL+Z PAUSES a running process in a shell. then do a "fg" to bring it back in the "foreground" and continue running, or do a "bg" to pack it in the "background" so you can continue working at the shell while the programm still works in the background. there are hundreds of cool keyboard shortcuts in linux!! HAVE PHUN!

  • CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + LEFT/RIGHT - This will move the current window you're focused to a new workspace.

  • Very useful. Thank you.

  • Thanks for your comments, glad you found the video useful.
