It hit 75ish. Driving the good ol' Fords are fun. They are some of the most unique buses you can drive. Yup, she had it floored and this particular bus was a touch slower compared to some of our other Fords.
I just saw on local tv here that a 2011 blue bird RE caught fire and burned completely up. The students was safely evacuated. The Fort Valley blue bird plant is just 15 minutes away, so im pretty sure they just went and picked up another one LOL
@9sb19 they dont really know as of yet. A neighbor said he heard a big backfire, and at the same time a student on it, started seeing smoke, and they stopped and got off.
Ours are beasts when it comes to Interstate runs and being floored. They are awesome. I love them. And yes, it could haul it to death, lol. They never quit.
Ours are the same too; and I hate it to death because I love seeing and riding on the Ford buses. It gets me how amazing they can still run. With few, very few breakdowns.
How fast did it get up too.

They probably showed them what happened, lol. But that's not good at all. Why did it burn up?

that bus was hauling ass! I used to ride a 96 Ford BB, and it was hella slow. It would struggle to get to 55, and crawl up hilll.

@9sb19 u right about that..all twelve of ours is still kickin, ranging from 95-97 models. they backup/emergency busses though.

not trying to get you mad I know 18 which I believe is the 2005 IC FE I know its a good bus but it seems to always have a problem

Nah, it doesn't make me mad. The shop does because they can't fix it because they don't know how to.
This problem was the same as the last Blue Bird All American video of her bus. A transmission switch had been messed with and it torn it up.
