i have grown up with Ac in my heart, but pirlo is poor, he doesnt put enough work in, Lazy. His moments of brilliance are just that, but rare. Kaka, i rate alot higher now at Madrid, but at Milan he was a Zidane "wanna-be"never reached his potential. midfielders i rate higher than pirlo, other than the obvious ; Lampard, Gerrard, Alonso, Xavi.etc, the less obvious, Essien, Mascerano, Ireland, Gattuso, Juninho and Emre(ex Newcastle) But how ever much i hate him, Zidane is still the King

Look, xavi and iniesta too are great midfielder, but they are blessed with gifted players in their squad...messi,zlatan,dani alves. But milan is nothing but a bunch of past greats like seerdof and ronnie. And pato is not yet developed to a world class player, so pirlo's contribution is often unseen. Look when they played real not so long ago...how he controlled the midfield is just how a playmaker should be.

He receives the ball in his own half most of the time, and actually plays alongside the centre backs quite a lot to provide some creativity from deep. Know what you're talking about first. Don't compare him to Gerrard or Lampard in terms of goals, they are both more progressive attacking players, he rarely gets into the opposition box..
