the boss chosen theme is from megaman x5's maverick chosen theme right in a 8-bit format

This isn't all that strange--I bet the hacker's original inspiration was MM7's museum level. Its music was a mix of heat man, guts man, and snake man. Unfortunately it has been so long that I don't remember their exact order--though I could probably look it up.

This was a mix of gutsman and fire man.

Otherwise I wouldn't have caught on.

the song for that museum level started with the first part of snakeman folowed by the gutsman part we all know by heart X) then heatmans ending. i think its a very nice mix. as well as this one.

Not really: the Robot Museum's pattern goes Snake Man > Guts Man > Heat Man > Snake Man again > back to Guts Man. This stage's pattern goes Guts Man > Fire Man > back to Guts Man.
