leave it up. it happened theres nothing that can be done. he died it was an accident. nothing in this world is perfect not even disney. the people who are disturbed shoudnt be here or watching this anyways. however some of us on the other hand are curious to see things for ourselves. put all the thumbs down you want but it does not change anything.
I didn't say you couldn't video anything, it's simply the fact that it could be harmful to the family to see it. Make all the sarcastic remarks you want but imagine if this was someone in your family. You wouldn't want the whole world watching it over and over again or having to watch it yourself. You don't have to be rude.
You presented yourself as a Disney employee as if that gives you any authority in this matter of videos on youtube.
As for families seeing tragedies, google Porsche Girl and see how her family LOST a lawsuit against law enforcement. See also 9-11 broadcast live and rebroadcast over and over.
The people criticizing the cameraman don't understand journalism. It's important to document unusual events, and this event is no different. It doesn't look like there's anything he could have done to help, because there weren't any other injured. And the drivers were certainly being attended to as much as possible. Whether it should be online is a different question, but the family isn't likely to find this unless they go looking for it.
I agree with some of the people here. I grew up with the driver, he was my friend... seeing it on the news is one thing. Seeing it online everywhere is another. Please... take it down. I don't want any of his family to see this. To know he's in there. Please.
This is no different than any other news story, and should not be censored. Yes it is a tragedy but life is full of tragedy and just because this happend at Disney World should make no difference at all.
I hate to be the odd man out but this is newsworthy and therefore valid. There are thousands of people who the whole world watched die when the planes hit the towers in 2001, and that's a sad fact, but it was newsworthy. If this was on CNN you wouldn't complain for them to take it off, this user who posted this is simply acting as a journalist to the rest of the world. More likely, some corporate folks simply don't want us to know that bad things do indeed happen at these amusement parks.
I have family and friends that are WDW Vast Members and I agree that this isn;'t really helping anyone. A man is dead inside that vehicle because of a horrible accident and now its documented for his suffering family to stare at again and again.

as a cast member at Walt Disney World, you need to REMOVE this video asap. I have already turned it in because it is harmful to the family members and disrespectful to the persons involved. You could've been helping someone involved but instead you stood back and video taped. I'm sure the family members and cast members appreciate your insensitivity.
They dont own the world but they own Orlando my friend, believe it. They dont even allow the sherriffs office to come on their property armed. What Disney says goes down here, you wouldn't believe some of the shit that happen here.
I don't understand that. I had a history teacher, who moonlighted as a security guard, who escorted Michael Jackson around the Disneyland park and night, and he was armed.
How do they get the police to disarm? I can see escorting them to tunnels, etc, but to make them disarm?
Ah the progression of society. Instead of stepping forward and offering to help in any way. Comfort a child, help a parent unload their children and baggage etc. This person decides to just stand back and film the whole thing. Classy.
i assume disney is trying to censor this. other videos of this on youtube have been "removed due to terms of service violation" and because that security guy chased off the cameraman.

Oh, also I have nothing to do with Disney. I could care less about Disney rules. That's not why I am asking.

Fox News contacted me to find out who shot the video so they could use it. This IS news, regardless of anyone's feelings about it.

For the record, I did not shoot this video. It was sent to me and I uploaded it to YouTube for use on my blog to accompany the story I did about it.

If people followed your rules we'd never see ANY tragic images of anything anywhere. Oh, I guess that's why you work at Disney. Never mind.

Guess what. Disney does not control the world.
There were plenty of people there helping.
FTR, I've filmed all over Disneyland. It is not against the rules to film at their parks.
