Well, I kind of stopped enjoying it. My mood in that class kind of altered drastically, as well as my inspiration. I just enjoyed the painting aspect really, i'll have to take it up somewhere else one day.

honestly, whoever destroyed your painting is horrible.

being an artist myself, i recognize how much work goes into a painting. For me, the longer I spend on a work of art, the more sentimental it becomes to me.

i can't think of how anyone could do that to anyone else's art.

it seriously boggles my mind.

i think you did the right thing by switching out of that class.

aw that's so sad. I'm sorry to hear that someone ruined your painting.I can't say that's happened to me but I know that people are mean, especially if you're doing better at it then they are. I remember from my art class last year that the underclassmen would touch other peoples things that were on the drying racks just because they were "looking at them." they had ruined atleast 3 peoples pictures earlier in the year. no one else had problems after that day because they got yelled at for it.

In art last year, i worked on 2 pastel canvases of possibly my favorites. Someone took a sharpie and stratched everything out on them. I got super pissed about one. I worked for weeks on it. But it just made my other one look badass! I still transferred. But sorry about your art. Its the worst thing ever to see something you worked so hard to make, be destroyed by buttheads. And hah! You should hear my voice! Im tone deaf as hell. Plug your ears when i burst out into 'Evil'.

I kinda know how you feel about the whole art thing.. Last year I was working on a project for my senior portfolio.. and i guess some kid got mad and ripped a hole in my canvas.. i was so upset that i couldnt go back into the art room for weeks.. i cant come up with a reasonable excuse for someone to destroy someone elses art..grr
