@rotaxrider any stick will work on any game although some of the more complex games will probably need more button but getting a street fighter stick is fine.
Um i cant decide should i get dc universe or armageddon because dc universe fatalities seem much easier then 4 part fatalities on armageddon but armageddon has so many characters i just cant decide
does it come with a jet-pack? better yet, could i attach this to a jet-pack so when i'm on an adventure flying through treacherous mountains looking for treasure i could play street fighter or any game i so choose!?
No not at all. You have to physically alter the stick and buttons to mod this one. So unless you can work with wires and have a soldering gun don't buy this one for modding.
I see you're using a ps3 with that control jeje but I wonder what the size / inch TV that I'm about to buy a ps3 tomorrow and my tv is a 21 inch flat screen and really hope it works on my tv
square gate?.. damn. there's another stick I refuse to buy. I want one with circular like the actual arcades have them down here. fluid 360 turns. no stops..
the 3d step with the analog is a pain to get past in MK vs DC if your playing it wiith an arcade stick cuase someone the sub-zero can just hit you with that ice block from the sky and u cant side step from it with a stick
The thing is you really try to get the best handling stick doesn't matter what game art it has, and although game stop is now selling the tekken edition doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna be the best one out there, the SFIV edition has gotten the highest scoring reviews on a stick thus far, even as expensive as it is. I have it and recommend it.
Haven't tried an arcade pro yet. But the added cost is because you can easily change buttons and stick if they wear out. Once this one breaks, unless you have soldering skills your out of luck. So i would imagine in the long run the arcade pro would last longer.
Can someone please explain. you no the sticks there say the us style nd chinese style? the buttons what are the differents because am really confused i want to change my buttons to the japanese style so i can play my sf4 what are the buttons can some one help
That's ok if you don't understand what buttons are what. we all learn some where right =) Authentic Japanese-style Sanwa Denshi joystick & buttons are used on the Street Fighter 4 Tournament stick and the buttons are 30 mm buttons . I hope this info helped ya out PSTRIPPLEE =)
somehow i trained my hands to use the analog exclusively with the trigger(360 controller), when i sent the game back to gamefly (i'm cheap) my ratio was about 380-100 with kitana and jax exclusively.
the stick feels weird when you are used to playing the ps3 controller. But i have a question, i try to do super combos with this stick on sf4 but my character does something else. I am still wondering if i am doing something wrong or what. I still not sure.
It takes a while to learn how to use each stick and how much (or how little) you have to move it to get your move off. Try and be more deliberate with your movements, SFIV is pretty leinient with the time needed to register a move.
This one has a better stick but mushy buttons. The sf4 stick can be modded easier so even though the buttons and stick are kinda cheap you can add your own arcade quality parts. The Hori stick can only be modded by people with a soldering gun and some technical skills.
Well, this one is still working fine but my 360 stick (Hori SCIV version) has a faulty button. And since Hori has no phone number listed I'm probably S.O.L. So I might go with the SF IV Fightsticks simply because Mad Catz has a customer service line.
Yep square gate, and if your used to American style sticks it's take awhile to get the diagonals input, but few hours of practice will fix that. Cheap high quality, get it.
Nope, just a small HDTV. I like using a little table to lay the stick on but most of my friends like just laying it on their lap. As for the stick itself I use don't ever really grip the stick that much as it's more like guiding it around with my fingers and palm. And buttons, I tap on them with the pads of my fingers like a piano.
Yeah I am getting a fight pad for street fighter 4. IGN gave it a 8.7 out of 10, said the controls were very responsive and such. Only main flaw buttons a little too lose
The screen is not attached to the joystick. That would be a pretty interesting mod though. It took me a few tries to get a good image where the joystick and the screen were both displayed clearly. My tv is pretty bright and it would make anything else around it too dark to see. This is the best I could do for now.
I was just comparing how the two franchises have come along , like how Capcom released a new version of there franchise , and mortal kombat releaesed a new game in the series. MK is dying , it has not ben cool for a while now. Plus if you look at what Street fighter 4 did from its last game, they took it to a new level. Mortal Kombat kinda stayed back in the past IMO. Nothing inovative or new to offer fans , just kinda a blah, ok fighting game, I never spend money on a game this bad. Sorry
Street figher and MK are two totally different types of fighter. MK VS DC is the best MK in years. I do perfer HD Remix (although I dont like the new art style) but MK VS DC is a good game.
Man, I'm really interested in that stick. Though i don't really like the placement of the L1 and L2 buttons. Is there anyway to change the button figuration on the controller?
Just about every fighting game lets you decide your own button configuration. For MK vs DC I use the top 4 buttons for attacks 1-4 and the L2 button for block so I can lay my hand naturally on the controller. The only games that don't let you change button configuration are arcade ports like Mortal Kombat 2 from the PSN which is pretty lazy on the developers part.
I do have the game, along with all the previous sequels going back to MK1. It's just my opinion. My best in the series was 3 & 4. Sadly, this is my worst.

Only problem With Mk vs Dc, Most sticks don't have an Option where you can switch Between Diagnol and Analog in battle so You can sidestep.

since they changed the input for some moves (dragon punch for example) in street fighter IV a 4 way plate gives you an advantage.
